  • Patent number: 11672597
Abstract: At a distal portion of a shaft of a guide portion included in a medical device, a first portion is configured to be capable of coming into contact with an inner wall of a living organ. A second portion is disposed on a proximal side of the shaft with respect to the first portion. The second position is configured to be capable of coming into contact with the inner wall of the living organ at a position different from that of the first portion on a transverse cross section of the inner wall of the living organ. A treatment portion is movable in a lumen of the shaft in a state where at least a part of the first portion and at least a part of the second portion come into contact with the inner wall of the living organ.

  • Publication number: 20110119779
Abstract: The invention provides methods and compositions for generating non-human transgenic cells and organisms that are transgenic at one or more gene sequences by separately recombining fragments of a complete gene in temporal sequence. According to the methods of the invention, a set of DNA constructs containing a non-endogenous DNA sequence flanked and/or operably linked at its ends by sequences from the non-human organism are generated by recombination in a bacterial cell, for example, in E. coli. The DNA constructs that are produced can then be introduced into a non-human homologous recombination competent cell where successive cells will contain recombined segments of a target gene, with the ultimate cell in a line containing an endogenous target gene completely replaced by genomic DNA of another species.

  • Patent number: 5061158
Abstract: A multi-cylinder piston pump of rotary slide valve design for conveying free flowing materials, in particular concrete, comprises a rotary slide valve (33, 36) connected to the piston (48, 49) and their cylinders (44, 45) with which it pivots. The feeder hopper (4) of the pump is equipped with a stirrer (5) which is actuated only when the pump is in operation. The rotary slide valve (33, 36) is located outside the feeder hopper (4). During the delivery stroke, the axis of the delivery cylinder is coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the adjacent conical pressure pipe (18). This pump is of simpler design than known pumps and is therefore more reliable and requires less maintenance.

  • Patent number: 4462548
Abstract: When injecting concrete, the nozzle of the injecting device must perform a circular motion in order to avoid the formation of so-called beads. Since this is a laborious operation, the invention proposes an injecting device whose nozzle is provided with said motion by a mechanical drive. However, the feeding hose is not to perform said tumbling motion in order to the hazard of buckling, among other things. For said purpose serves a hydraulic motor (2) whose eccentric (1) provides the hose holding means (3) with a circular tumbling motion, said motion taking effect on the end of the feeding hose (6), said end being secured in hose holding means (3), and thus on the nozzle (7), whose mouth describes a circular motion. The hose holding means (3) is secured against twisting by the cross joint shaft (4).

  • Patent number: 4376600
Abstract: The apparatus of this invention feeds coarse-grained, lumpy dry materials from a hopper (1) to an outlet chamber (19) into which materials are blown. It has two rotors (5, 15) that rotate in unison about a common vertical axis and have circumferentially arranged material chambers (24, 25) that are coaxial with one another. A plate (7) between the two rotors (5, 15) has a passage (8) with which the chambers (24, 25) of the rotors (5, 15) can be brought into register by rotor rotation. The upper rotor (5) has a plurality of air chambers (26, 27) which receive pressure air conducted through the passage (8) from each of the chambers (25) of the lower rotor (15). A connecting channel (28) serves to increase the pressure on the outer side of the chambers (25) of the lower rotor (15). Multiple openings into the atmosphere discharge the chambers (24, 26, 27) of the upper rotor (5). With this arrangement the pressure drop .DELTA.
