  • Patent number: 9359789
Abstract: A security assembly for use with a security console having a body and a door. The body of the security console has a plurality of walls defining an interior of the security console. The door of the security console is rotatably coupled to a first wall of the plurality of walls along a fixed edge of the door and movable between open and closed positions to provide and restrict, respectively, access to the interior of the security console. The security assembly comprises first and second cooperating members. The first cooperating member is configured to be mounted to the door near a free edge of the door. The second cooperating member is configured to be mounted to an inner surface of a second wall of the plurality of walls near an edge of the second wall, such that when the door is in the closed position, the first cooperating member is configured to securely engage the second cooperating member to restrict lateral deflection of the second wall relative to the free edge of the door.
