Abstract: The invention relates to an animal marking and identification tag which is intended to receive a protrusion using an irreversible joining technique. The inventive tag comprises upper and lower shells which house an electronic member therebetween. The shells are assembled to one another by means of laser welding. The upper shell comprises at least two elements which are assembled such as to extend axially from one another, said elements including a dark base element which serves as an obstacle to the laser beam and a brightly-coloured top element which renders the tag visible.
Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic button tag for tagging and identifying cattle and other animals, of the type which is intended to be placed on one of the ears of the animal. The inventive button tag includes a transponder which is enclosed in a shell. The shell is made from two half-shells, namely a lower half-shell and an upper half-shell, which are assembled together at a median plane. The transponder is fixed in place, without compression. between the two half-shells using a glue; and the two half-shells are assembled by a laser weld.

Abstract: A temperature monitoring device having a sealed inviolatable housing in which a temperature sensor is located. Temperature recording means within the housing obtain successive temperature readings as sensed by the temperature sensor over a period of time. Temperature storage means also within the housing provide for storage of the temperature readings, and infrared data transmission means within the housing enable the stored temperature reading to be transferred to a reader device.
Abstract: A device for the automatic and momentary electrical connection of the wires of a cable with the circuit of a memory. A sensor connects each wire of the cable with a telescopic tip and an electronic chip which connects the telescopic tips to a memory. As a button provided on the cover of the sensor is depressed, the telescopic tips pierce through a protecting film on the face of the electronic chip and provide electrical contact between the cable and the memory. The sensor and electronic chip each have a bevel gear, the teeth of which position the sensor relative to the electronic chip so that each engages an electrical contact on the surface of the electronic chip. An electronic circuit connected with the cable senses the angular position of each of the telescopic tips with reference to the electrical contacts. This device provides a momentary electrical contact with the electronic chip to read a memory or store data therein.
Abstract: A device for single usage for sampling liquids consisting of a hollow mounting tube closed at one end by a base which has a needle mount and into which can be slid a sampling tube. The sampling tube has a cap which has a diameter in the section of the cap projecting from the tube greater than the diameter of the tube to thereby form a shoulder. The mounting tube consists of a head into which the cap of the sampling tube slides, a body to guide the sampling tube, and internally projecting studs to retain the cap in the mounting tube. A breaking point is formed where the head and body join which must be broken in order to withdraw the sampling tube from the mounting tube after a sample has been taken.
