  • Patent number: 8763287
Abstract: A device for sampling biological tissue (1) to be used in a label for marking animals includes: a hollow needle (3) having a cutting edge (36) at one end, capable of sampling a biological tissue sample when the sampling device is inserted into the biological tissue; a fixation part (22) of the hollow needle, made as a single piece and including a tank (2) containing a chemical for processing a biological tissue sample, the base of the tank including a partition (211) that is punctured by the needle when a pressure is applied upon the insertion of the sampling device into the biological tissue. After puncturing the partition, the content of the tank flow into the hollow needle and contacts the recovered sample. The end of the hollow needle containing the sample can further be protected by a cap, and the sample remains easily accessible for further analysis.

  • Patent number: 7895776
Abstract: In a tag for identifying and marking animals, the tag associates a receiver button (1) by irreversible fitting of a finger (2). The button (1) includes a head (13) wherein is provided a cavity (8) for receiving a punch (3) of the finger (2). The head (13) is secured to a shell (5) retaining the punch (3) which is provided with an opening (6) for introducing the punch (3) inside the button (1). The axial wall (7) of the retaining shell (5) delimiting the opening (6) is radially deformable. A chamber (11) is arranged between the head (13) and the axial wall (7) for receiving the latter (7) deformed under the effect of the punch (3) passing through the opening (6).

  • Publication number: 20110000111
Abstract: An auricular label includes a fastening system that combines, with a male part, a female part including a button having an opening and a cavity for receiving the male portion, the button including an essentially cylindrical or frusto-conical head and a circular surface extending in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of the head from the base thereof, the loop being characterized in that the surface of the reception button includes at least two perforations ensuring the communication of the lower face of the surface with the atmosphere. The label ensures an improved healing of the insertion point into the ear of the animal, without impairing the rigidity or the solidity of the button, and without permitting the forced extraction of the male part or any other manipulation for forging the data contained in the ring.
