Abstract: A fluid filter element comprises a first filtering medium and a second filtering medium. The first filtering medium includes a nonwoven batt having a marginal edge portion circumscribing the main body portion of the batt in which the fibers are stiffened to provide a support and sealing structure. The second filtering medium includes a nonwoven batt which has been welded into a convoluted drape and which has a circumferential edge portion which provides a supported and sealing structure. The circumferential edge portion is sealed to the marginal edge portion when the fluid filter element is assembled.
Abstract: The universal joint (10) comprises a bearing block (40) which has a pair of cylindrical receptacles (50, 60) disposed perpendicularly relative to one another, each cylindrical receptacle (50, 60) being C-shaped to receive therein respective cylindrical members (14, 16; 34, 36) of two rotatable members (12, 30). The bearing block (40) includes a circumferential wall (70) extending between adjacent ends of each cylindrical receptacle (14, 16; 34, 36) in order to provide grooves (74) for capturing and retaining a securement ring (80). An alternative embodiment (110) provides a rotatable member (112) having a hemispherical head (113) with an interior cavity (117), the hemispherical head (113) having transverse openings (118) for the reception of a pin (125) which extends through a receptacle (160) of the bearing block (140) to rotatably secure the block (140) within the interior cavity (117).
Abstract: A spring member (40) is integrally molded to a radial flange (36) of a coupling nut (30), the spring member including a detent tooth (42) and having one end thereof being formed into the flange and the other end free to flex radially inward and outward to engage successive ratchet teeth (14) around the outer periphery of a plug shell (12) to which the coupling nut is rotatably mounted.
Abstract: A pair of connector members (10,30) have cylindrical portions (12,32) which mate along a first direction, one and the other member having an angled cable support (20,26) and a rectangular end portion (34) adapted for fitment in a configured opening (44) of a connector receptacle (40) in only of selected angular positions and only in a second direction whereby to orient the mated members and the cable support relative to the receptacle. An integrally formed latch arrangement (16,18) and terminal retention arrangement (60,58) allows for snap-in assembly.
Abstract: The invention is a three-piece contact assembly for an electrical connector. The contact assembly is characterized by an inner sleeve (10) captivated between a forward outer sleeve (20) and a rear outer sleeve (30) to eliminate deformation and relative movement between the sleeves of a contact assembly.
