Patents Assigned to Allied Flow, Inc.
  • Patent number: 11965811
Abstract: A particle sorting apparatus includes: a flow cell including a flow channel; an imaging element; and a controller. The controller performs a coarse adjustment onto a position of the flow cell based on an image regarding a flow axis of the flow channel and obtained by the imaging element, while continuously moving the flow cell at a first speed. The controller performs a final adjustment onto the position of the flow cell to allow the first intensity of the first light emitted from the light emitting object flowing in the flow channel to be maximum while moving the flow cell at a second speed that is lower than the first speed.

  • Patent number: 11492586
Abstract: A first imaging unit obtains an image of at least one of a jet flow, droplets or satellite drops. Based on a feature value of the at least one of the jet flow, the droplets or the satellite drops in the image, a controller controls a timing of starting to supply charges from a charge supply unit to a final jet flow droplet in one period of vibrations of a vibration element or an amplitude of a drive voltage applied to the vibration element so as to cause variation of a side stream to fall within a reference range.

  • Publication number: 20220323959
Abstract: A cartridge includes: a first reservoir capable of accommodating a sample liquid; a sheath liquid conduit; a sterilization filter; a mixer; a nozzle; a droplet collection member; and a check valve. The sterilization filter is provided at the sheath liquid conduit. The check valve is connected to a waste-droplet collection member. A sample liquid flow path and a sheath liquid flow path are isolated from a surrounding environment around the cartridge and are maintained in a sterile state. The sample liquid flow path extends from the first reservoir to the droplet collection member. The sheath liquid flow path extends from the sterilization filter to the droplet collection member.

  • Patent number: 11192113
Abstract: There are provided an apparatus capable of treating biological particles in a sterile state, and a treatment apparatus. An apparatus for forming a liquid flow including biological particles includes: a chamber member; a sample liquid supply portion; a sheath liquid supply portion; and a vibrating electrode member. The chamber member includes a chamber and a flow cell extending from an interior to an exterior of the chamber. The sample liquid supply portion is configured to supply a sample liquid including the biological particles into the chamber. The sheath liquid supply portion is configured to supply a sheath liquid into the chamber. The vibrating electrode member extends from the interior to the exterior of the chamber, is made of an electrically conductive material, and is configured to be capable of supplying an electric charge to the sheath liquid and the sample liquid in the chamber and propagating an ultrasonic vibration.

  • Patent number: 11169072
Abstract: A flow cell includes a flow cell body portion. The flow cell body portion is provided with a flow channel. A second end portion of the flow cell is provided with a nozzle receiving portion. The flow channel extends from the first end portion of the flow cell body portion to the nozzle receiving portion. The nozzle receiving portion is tapered toward the flow channel. The flow cell includes a convex lens. The convex lens is attached on a portion of the outer side surface of the flow cell body portion close to the second end portion. The nozzle receiving portion is located at a side close to the second end portion relative to an optical axis of the convex lens.
