Patents Assigned to Allied Logic Corporation
  • Patent number: 5817259
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for controlling the reconfiguration of a moulded boat hull structure as it is cooled from its moulding temperature to ambient temperature. A dynamic cooling fixture is utilized having movable panels that support substantially the entire inner and outer hull surfaces during the entire cooling process. This results in the cooling of the hull in a manner which will be devoid of wrinkles, depressions, or other disadvantageous discontinuities.

  • Patent number: 5787836
Abstract: A moulded boat hull is disclosed which includes a modular liner which is nested within and hermetically sealed to a hollowed moulded plastic boat hull structure. The liner includes the seamless floor section of the boat, which is supported by stiffening members within the boat hull. Substantial flexibility is achieved by permitting the use of alternative liners within the same boat hull, thereby allows customization of the boat.

  • Patent number: 5758594
Abstract: An integrally moulded plastic outboard motor boat hull structure is provide with reinforcement at its transom region. The reinforcement is in the form of gusset members which integrally connect the transom region to stiffening members that longitudinally extend between the bow and stern ends of the boat hull. An intermediate saddle member connects the outboard motor to the transom region, with the saddle member being preferably connected to at least one of the gusset reinforced longitudinal stiffening members. The overall structure serves to both reinforce the transom region, and transfer the dynamic motor forces away from the transom region, thereby significantly reducing the possibility of flex cracking within the transom region.

  • Patent number: 5676088
Abstract: An integrally moulded plastic boat hull structure is provided with a plurality of threaded inserts for securing associated boat components. Each of the threaded inserts is moulded into the boat hull structure with a force dissipating planar member which directs the localized forces away from the threaded insert to an enlarged boat hull region proximate the threaded insert. By spreading the load over a greater region, a highly localized load point is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5666902
Abstract: An integrally moulded plastic boat hull structure is provided with a plurality of threaded inserts for securing associated boat components. Each of the threaded inserts is moulded into the boat hull structure through an intermediate insert which reinforces the hull and directs the localized forces away from the threaded insert to an enlarged boat hull region proximate the threaded insert. Where the boat hull is formed of low density polyethylene, the intermediate reinforcement member will be formed of a higher density polyethylene, to provide both a structural and molecular bond in the moulded hull. By reinforcing the location of the threaded insert and spreading its lead over a greater region, a highly localized stress point is avoided.
