Abstract: A device (100) for the thermal treatment of friction lining surfaces (19) (scorching) is characterized in that at least one infrared light source is placed in the heating station (10) for heating the friction lining surfaces. Short-wave infrared light of approximately 780 to 1400 nm with a maximum at 1200 nm is preferably used. A suction bell (11) and a fan (12) for removing the decomposition gas are above the heating station (10). The irradiation can take place in depression or in special chemical atmospheres. An infrared thermometer (20) supervises the temperature of the friction lining surfaces (19) and eventually causes an elimination (14) of parts. A cooling station (17) is following the heating station (10).
Abstract: A friction surface coating (200) for a friction material of a brake system, especially for a motor vehicle, a truck, a rail vehicle or an aircraft, is composed of 0-30% in weight phenolic resin, 5-95% in weight aluminum oxide, 0-20% in weight silicium oxide, 5-75% in weight bonding agent, 0-10% in weight interlacing agent, 0-50% in weight elastomer and 0-50% in weight filler.

Abstract: The brake lining (100) for disk brakes comprises a carrier plate (10) and a friction material block (20) fixed thereon made of a pressed friction material, the friction material block (20) being fixed positively and/or nonpositively on the carrier plate (10), the carrier plate (10) being made of a hard amorphous plastic rigid up to the decomposition temperature which is composed of spatially close meshed interlaced macromolecules with a high mechanical strength like for example a duroplastic, the material of the carrier plate (10) gripping into the carrier plate free surface (20a) of the friction material block (20) and overlapping the side walls (21, 22, 23) of the friction material block (20) placed on the carrier plate (10) and being welded with the material of the friction material block (20).
