    Abstract: A breakaway fluid valve coupling including a pair of identical coupling members each of which is connected to an end of a fluid conveying pipe. The coupling members are joined together to allow fluid to pass through the pipe and fluid valve coupling. The coupling members are pulled apart by exertion of axial stress on the members, the coupling members automatically sealing the ends to prevent leakage of the fluid.
