Patents Assigned to ALPHINITY USA, INC.
  • Patent number: 12607180
Abstract: A pump or combination pump/mixer device is disclosed. The pump or pump/mixer uses moving diaphragms in combination with check valves to pump and/or mix fluid. A main inlet is located at the top of the pump and is fed by a vessel or container that contains fluid. The fluid, in response to the moving diaphragms, passes through an outer chamber into a plurality of lower chambers and then into a central chamber where the fluid then exits via one or more outlets. A series of check-valves are used to ensure one-way flow of fluid through the chambers. The drive shaft of a motor or drive unit drives a nutating disk or wobble plate that actuates the diaphragms to drive fluid through the device. In the pump/mixer configuration, one or more additional inlets are provided to input additional fluids into the device for mixing within the inside of the pump/mixer.

  • Patent number: 12576006
Abstract: A system for the preparation of fluids for bioprocess and pharmaceutical applications uses one or more flexible bags that are pre-loaded with solid tablets contained therein of various buffer/media/physiological fluid constituents. Examples include salts, acids, bases, preservatives, proteins, amino acids, growth factors, small molecules, and drugs. The flexible bag contains one or more sealed or sealable openings that are used to add water to the interior of the flexible bag as well as remove fluid from the flexible bag. The one or more sealed openings may also be used as an outlet to remove fluid (e.g., buffer) from the flexible bag. The flexible bag may be stored in a deflated state aiding in the storage and/or transport of the flexible bag. Multiple flexible bags may be coupled to a manifold with valves to selectively fill and empty the flexible bags.

  • Patent number: 12521308
Abstract: A method of pumping fluid out of a bioprocess vessel includes providing a bioprocess vessel defining an interior volume and having a bottom surface containing an aperture or port therein for the passage of fluid and a pump head integrally formed with or bonded to the bottom surface of the bioprocess vessel or secured to the port, wherein the pump head further comprises an inlet and an outlet with the inlet in fluid communication with the interior volume, the pump head further including a plurality of diaphragms, each diaphragm associated with a check-valve, wherein sequential actuation of the plurality of diaphragms pumps fluid from the interior volume of the bioprocess vessel into the inlet and out of the outlet. The plurality of diaphragms are actuated with a motor secured to the pump head. In other embodiments, the pump head is secured to the bioprocess vessel with fasteners.

  • Patent number: 12048671
Abstract: A bioprocess vessel includes a flexible bag or substantially rigid container that defines an interior volume and having a bottom surface, the bottom surface being open or containing an aperture therein for the passage of fluid. A pump is secured to the bottom surface of the flexible bag or substantially rigid container. In some embodiments is secured directly to the flexible bag or substantially rigid container. In other embodiments, the pump is secured indirectly the flexible bag or substantially rigid container using, for example, a port that extends through the aperture on the bottom surface. The port or flanged surface may also be integrated into the pump, which is secured to the vessel. An optional mixing adaptor may be provided inside the interior volume of the flexible bag or substantially rigid container and at least partially covers the inlet that leads to the pump.

Abstract: A bioprocess or pharmaceutical vessel which may include a flexible bag or substantially rigid container defines an interior volume and having a bottom surface, the bottom surface being open or containing an aperture therein for the passage of fluid. A pump is secured to the bottom surface of the vessel. The pump has an inlet that is in fluidic communication with the interior of the vessel and a plurality of outlets, whereby fluid passes from the interior volume of the vessel and into the inlet of the pump and out the plurality of outlets. The vessel may also include one or more return lines that return fluid to the interior volume of the vessel. When fluid is pumped through the return lines, the return lines undulate, flail about, or otherwise move to impart agitation and/or mixing of the fluid contained in the vessel.
