  • Patent number: 8136424
Abstract: Rotary support bodies which support both ends of a rod penetrating a manipulating knob body are formed by joining a first rotary support member which is arranged at one side of the manipulating knob body and supports one end of the rod and a second rotary support member which is arranged at another side of the manipulating knob body and supports another end of the rod, and one end of the rod is fixed to the second rotary support member, and another end of the rod is engaged with the first rotary support member. Accordingly, a manipulating knob can be mounted on a casing in a state the manipulating knob is mounted on the rotary support body.

  • Patent number: 8107185
Abstract: A magnetic disk device includes a magnetic head assembly, which includes magnetic heads, support plates, and a flexible wiring substrate that are integrally formed. The magnetic heads include heating elements for making head element parts protrude toward magnetic disks by thermal expansion, the support plate supports the magnetic head, the flexible wiring substrate is provided along the support plate and electrically connects the magnetic heads to a circuit system, and the magnetic head assembly and the magnetic disks are assembled in a case. The magnetic disk device includes a sensor and a floating distance control circuit. The sensor detects at least one of atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity in the case. The floating distance control circuit increases or decreases current supplied to the heating element on the basis of the output of the sensor and controls the floating distance of the magnetic head so that the floating distance is constant.

  • Publication number: 20070160405
Abstract: There is provided a printer which can suppress the variations in rotation speed of a platen and the forwarding speed of a recording medium when a recording unit abuts on a platen through the recording medium. The printer of the present invention includes a platen, a recording unit, and a brake. The brake presses a friction member to a smooth side surface of a rotation gear fixed a rotation shaft of the platen from the time point before the recording unit abuts on the platen through the recording medium. Accordingly, the platen rotates while constantly receiving a braking force by the braking device. Therefore, even though the recording unit abuts on the platen and the rotation speed of the platen is varied, the pulsation of the platen is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 6963327
Abstract: A shift register circuit includes a first shift register having a plurality of stages connected in cascade, and a second shift register having more stages than the first shift register. The stages of the second shift register are divided into groups each formed of consecutive stages. The stages of the first shift register output pulse sequences having a predetermined number of consecutive pulses and having different phases from each other, to the stages constituting the groups of the second shift register as clock signals.

  • Patent number: 6955598
Abstract: A controller is provided with an artificial retina chip. The artificial retina chip is connected to a display unit via a game machine body. Before starting the game, the artificial retina chip is instructed to recognize an image of frame of the display unit to store such image as the reference image. After starting the game, the controller is moved to recognize the image of frame of the display unit in order to detect the designated position by comparing the coordinate position data after the movement and the coordinate position data of the reference image.

  • Patent number: 6806804
Abstract: The present invention provides a spin valve magnetic detecting element having large &Dgr;R. The positive or negative sign of the &bgr; value of a magnetic material constituting each of a first free magnetic sub-layer, a second free magnetic sub-layer and a pinned magnetic layer is defined so that the resistance values for spin-up conduction electrons are smaller than the resistance values for spin-down conduction electrons in all magnetic layers when magnetization of a free magnetic layer is changed to minimize the resistance value. In this case, the change &Dgr;R in resistance of the magnetic detecting element can be increased.
