Abstract: A device for generating hydrogen for power system based on hydrolysis aluminum assisted water split has a housing, a unit for containing aluminum in the housing, a unit for periodically bringing the aluminum and the electrolyte in contact for production of hydrogen, and a unit for the withdrawing the hydrogen to a power source.
Abstract: A gas diffusion element has a hydrophobic layer which includes a thermoplastic material and particles embedded in the thermoplastic material so that the hydrophobic layer has voids and is a porous layer configured so that water can not pass through the hydrophobic layer from its one side to its another side, while passage of gas from the other side to the one side is not interfered with; and also a method of producing the gas diffusion element and devices using the gas diffusion element are proposed.
Abstract: A metal-air fuel cell has electrodes including a cathode and an anode, current pickups provided for each of said electrodes for taking currents from a respective one of the electrode, wherein at least one of the electrodes being formed as a frameless box-shaped element, wherein additional hydrogen electrode, an electrolyte container, and a power source are provided.
