  • Patent number: 8552806
Abstract: An apparatus for providing clock and a method thereof are provided. The provided apparatus includes a frequency generation unit and a control unit. The frequency generation unit decides amplitude of a clock signal to be a first amplitude or a second amplitude in response to a mode signal. The frequency generation unit converts an external oscillation signal into the clock signal. The control unit receives the clock signal, and outputs the mode signal in response to a system status signal. The control unit outputs the clock signal to external when determining that the clock signal has a stable oscillation. When the system status signal is a power on signal, the first amplitude is used as the amplitude of the clock signal, and when the system status signal is a power off signal, the second amplitude smaller than the first amplitude is used as the amplitude of the clock signal.

  • Patent number: 8532337
Abstract: An object tracking method includes steps of obtaining multiple first classifications of pixels within a first focus frame in a first frame picture, wherein the first focus frame includes an object to be tracked and has a first rectangular frame in a second frame picture; performing a positioning process to obtain a second rectangular frame; and obtaining color features of pixels around the second rectangular frame sequentially and establishing multiple second classifications according to the color feature. The established second classifications are compared with the first classifications sequentially to obtain an approximation value, compared with a predetermined threshold. The second rectangular frame is progressively adjusted, so as to establish a second focus frame. By analyzing color features of the pixels of the object and with a classification manner, the efficacy of detecting a shape and size of the object so as to update information of the focus frame is achieved.

  • Patent number: 8525897
Abstract: A device and a method for predicting photograph timing. First, a detection step is performed. Then, a face determination step is performed to determine whether or not a face is shown. A face-classifying step is then performed. If a detected image is a non-front face, a difference generation step is then performed. A difference determination step is performed when a plurality of differences are obtained to determine whether or not the sequentially adjoined differences are reduced, wherein if the sequentially adjoined differences are reduced, a photographing timing is predicted according to a reduction degree of the differences. As a result, the probability of successfully photographing the front face can be enhanced. In addition, a training database that has both front face information and non-front face information can be utilized. As a result, it is not easy to determine the non-front face as the front face incorrectly.

  • Patent number: 8488021
Abstract: An image positioning method, a POI tagging method and an apparatus therefor are described. The method is particularly to define a range corresponding to a positioning value translated by a global positioning system. Further, a point-of-interest (POI) is tagged according to the defined range. In an exemplary example, if there is no positioning signal detected as photographing an image, a previously received positioning signal is used to be the positioning value for the image. According to the preferred embodiment of the tagging method, an image is taken firstly, and then it's to determine a positioning value for the image. In which the positioning value may be determined on the instant of photographing. Alternatively, the positioning value may be retrieved from the image's attribute through playback software. Thereby, a range associated with the positioning value is defined. A corresponding point-of-interest is tagged to the image's attribute afterward.
