Abstract: In a pull sheet for use in conjunction with a fork lift truck, or the like, such sheet being generally formed of corrugated board, and more specifically being constructed as double back liner, and there are included a plurality of reinforcing tapes integrally within the construction of the corrugated board, generally being fabricated of paper so as to be capable of recycling with the pull sheet after its terminal usage.

Abstract: In a container carrier for use in the conveyance of a plurality of beverage laden containers, the carriers formed of a pair of end walls connected with a bottom wall, a top structure for the carrier, and a pair of side walls connecting to either side of the carrier to provide it with significant closure; each side wall being formed of a pair of panels, the first comprising a bottom panel, while the second forms an upper panel that adheres along its lower edge with the first panel. A tear strip is provided along the length within each second panel, and when removed, provides for a pivoting upwardly of at least the upper portion of the second panel for removal of the beverage containers. In addition, a pair of lines of perforation or scores are formed in the top structure of the carrier, and when torn free, form a handle grip, reinforced through the addition of tape, that allows for carrying during the return of the beverage containers back to the source of purchase.

Abstract: In a picture display formed of paperboard, a front perimeter frame includes an opening to accommodate a framed picture for viewing, the frame incorporates an integral strap across each of the opening corners, side and end walls foldably connect with the outer perimeter of the front frame, and flanges connecting with the walls fold around the back side of the frame to form a back perimeter frame thereof, and secure the displayed picture in place. Spacer elements foldably connecting with the inner edges of the front perimeter frame opening fold interiorly of the display for centrally positioning the held picture for convenient viewing.

Abstract: Container for books and articles of like shape formed having top, bottom, first and second side, and closure panels that are foldably connected together to form an article encompassing sleeve, end flaps created of three subpanels forming protective end cells at each end of the container, reinforcing flaps connecting to the side of each first side panel and arranged for extending into the formed air cell to reinforce it and the container's ability to resist compressive forces, and end wall panels connecting to each end of the top panel for providing closure to the end cells and the container at its ends. Reinforcing tabs are interconnected between a side of the end wall panels and the sides of the second side panel and folded to a bellows configuration for further reinforcement of the created end cells as the container is formed into its usable configuration.

Abstract: In a container for holding bulk materials or the like, and formed from a blank of paperboard stock, it incorporates front, side, and rear walls of substantially equal size, a bottom wall formed of various bottom flaps providing closure at its lower segment, and a cover for the container formed from a series of top flaps that foldably connect to the upper edges of the aforementioned walls. The cover is provided with an upstanding handle to facilitate the conveyance of the container, and this handle is formed from a pair of hand panels that foldably connect with certain of the top flaps, with each hand panel formed from a pair of handle flaps, one flap of which foldably connects with the top flaps securing with the front and rear walls, while the second handle flap foldably connects along a side edge with the side edge of the first mentioned handle flap, and when these handle flaps are folded over into adjacency, they are formed having aligned slots to facilitate the entrance of the hand during container usage.

Abstract: A multi-celled container carrier constructed providing a pair of rows of article holding cells to either side of the central panel separating the carrier into two lateral compartments, with the central panel being formed of a pair of foldably connecting panels, and having a pair of aligned apertures for forming the hand-gripping means for the carrier. A blank formed for this carrier incorporates the pair of central forming panels, having side or end panels connecting to each side edge thereof, and with side walls and bottom walls connecting therewith for forming each compartment to either side of the central panel. Dividers are provided within each compartment, connecting with the connecting flaps forming each compartment, for segregating each compartment into cellular segments.

Abstract: A paperboard tube for use in forming concrete columns is split longitudinally into two parts, with each part initially having its cut edges treated with a urethane resin, with each part then being dipped into a solution of an acrylic resin, and finally each part then having its interior surfaces coated with a urethane resin, each part is then assembled into a composite tube, and when used, having a reinforcing member arranged along the length of its longitudinal slits, for reinforcement of the tube edges, and finally a strap(s) or clamp(s) is arranged therearound so as to secure the tube into position for use in the pouring of concrete columns.

Abstract: In a container for use in protecting articles, such as books, a one piece blank is formed to incorporate a pair of main panels, one each for encompassing the upper and lower portions of the article, with said main panels having side panels that may be folded into closure, one superimposed upon the other, and adhered together, so as to form closure at least at these lateral locations; a reentry flap is foldably connected along a score line with one end of each main panel, with the reentry flap being folded into contiguity, after a 180.degree. turn against the interior wall of one of the main panels, and each said reentry flap having a second or end flap foldably connected thereto and disposed at a normal so as to provide end closures for the container.In another embodiment, one of the main panels is formed into two parts and which two parts may be folded in overlap style, one partially upon the other, so as to provide closure upon the upper portion of the enclosed article.

Abstract: A partitioned tray, formed having a bottom wall, side walls, and end walls, are folded into a tray configuration, having an opened top, with a series of both laterally and longitudinally arranged partitions contained within the tray extending upwardly from its bottom wall. The ends of each side wall incorporate foldable tabs therewith, with said tabs arranged for disposition intermediate a pair of foldably connected panels forming each of the tray end walls. One panel of each double panel end wall is foldably connected to the end edge of the bottom wall, while the other panel of the double panel end wall secures to an aperture or slot provided in the bottom wall for retention of the end and side walls into the tray configuration. A plurality of such trays are stackable, one upon the other, and insertable within a container, as for storage or shipment.

Abstract: In a bin box formed of corrugated board and shaped having upper, bottom and a pair of side walls, being folded into the tubular form, with a series of flaps provided at the back end to provide closure thereat, and a pivotal panel foldably connected to the bottom wall at the opposite or front end of the box, with said panel having lateral flaps foldably connected to either side, with said flaps being arranged interiorly of the box and adjacent its side walls, with protruding portions provided upon the upper end of each lateral flap so as to limit the extent of the outward pivotal disposition of the pivotal panel. Another flap connects with the upper wall at this front of the box, with said flap normally providing for full closure across this end of the box, but also includes a line of separation so that a portion of said flap can be removed, leaving a marginal flap that functions as a display panel for the box when used for marketing of granular or bulk materials.

Abstract: A yarn core, either formed to a cylindrical shape, or in a cone configuration, includes a shallow cavity approximate one end, and within the cavity, around the circumference of the core, there is included a coating of a slip resistance material, preferably formed as a colloidal silica, to enhance the coefficient of friction at this location so as to temporarily adhere the yarn thereto either while it is being wound onto the core, or during unwinding as, for example, weaving proceeds from one depleted yarn core to a new core of yarn.

Abstract: In a hogshead formed from convolutely wound paper tubes that are cut into complemental halves, reinforcing staves are adhered to the marginal cut edges of each tube moiety, and hinge members, comprising generally two part hinges, are secured to each stave with their turned ends embracing against the remote side edges of each stave to insure structural integrity for the hogshead particularly while the tobacco is being prized; the upper and lower interior edges of each tube half portion includes liners that are rigidly fastened thereto, while end closures having ring members that are arranged concentrically within the liners are fitted within the assembled hogshead to provide it with closure.The staves may be formed from metal that is pressed to expose a series of pointed spikes that may insure the retention of each stave to the paperboard tube, and the hinge means may be designed to provide their partial insertion within said tubes halves to further insure the structural integrity of the hogshead during usage.
