  • Publication number: 20060291956
Abstract: An elongated clamp for securing a flexible fabric like shroud to a scaffold support member including to opposed jaws movable between an open and closed position by a pin and wedge combination. The flexible shroud is held to the support member by the clamp gripping force. Multiple clamps securable at different points along the various standard support members provide positive securement of the shroud.

  • Patent number: 6976557
Abstract: A toeboard for a raised working platform advantageously cooperates with known construction systems to simplify securement and allow efficient setup. Each toeboard has connectors at either end of an elongate body member. Each connector has two fingers extending in a manner to intersect with a longitudinal axis of the elongate member. The connectors at opposite ends of the elongate body have an opposite orientation of said fingers where the fingers of one connector are 180 degrees out of alignment with the fingers of the other connector. This arrangement allows toeboards to connect easily in an end to end manner as well as in a perpendicular manner.

  • Patent number: 6913422
Abstract: A shoring post suitable for use with ledger frames uses node sleeves which surround the shoring post. Preferably, the node sleeves are an extruded component with a center cavity that closely conforms to the exterior of the shoring post. The node sleeves are secured in a manner to maintain the center of the shoring post unobstructed. In a preferred form, the node sleeves are mechanically fastened to the shoring post.

  • Patent number: 6789649
Abstract: A tube and clamp scaffold system includes a series of anchor clamps which are attached by the workers during erection of the system. The anchor clamps are attached at appropriate positions to ay of the tubular members and provide a fastening connection for the hook of a safety lanyard. In this way, the worker secures anchor clamps as the system is erected and fastens his safety lanyard to the appropriate anchor clamp. As the height or length of the system increases, a new anchor clamp can be secured. The anchor clamps are fast to secure and preferably secured in the same manner as clamps used to secure the tubular members.

  • Patent number: 6702509
Abstract: The scaffold clamp of the present invention comprises a body portion, two pivotting latches attached on opposite sides of said body, two recessed sockets with each socket having a slot opening therein, and two fasteners with each fastener associated with one of said slots and passing therethrough. Each fastener includes a shank which slides through said recess with the shank having a captured wedge member on one side of the associated slot and a bolt head oversized relative to the slot and on an opposite side thereof. The fastener is captured on the body portion with the bolt head on one side of said slot and said wedge on the opposite side of said slot. The body portion includes on opposite sides thereof support recesses which cooperate with the associated latch to form a generally circular scaffold support engaging recess. The latch and wedge cooperate with the body portion to adjust the size of said circular engaging recess by movement of the wedge relative to the body portion.

  • Publication number: 20020043273
Abstract: A method of removing hazardous insulation material advantageously uses a glove bag with a large open mouth which is secured to a wall portion exterior to the insulation to be removed. The wall portion and the glove bag collectively enclose and isolate the insulation to be removed. The insulation is removed, the border of exposed insulation is sealed, and the glove bag properly removed. The method is effective and time efficient and is suitable for many applications, including removal of asbestos and silica insulation.
