Abstract: A drain water-intake cover includes a fixed brim, a central convex portion of which is low in height, an upper water-intake opening on the convex portion, side water-intake openings on a side peripheral wall of the convex portion and a plurality of mutually spaced dust stoppers extending over the upper water-intake opening and having different height dimensions. Stumbling over the cover is prevented since the cover is low in height and is not highly protrusive. Rainwater can be drained even when dust or foreign matter such as fallen leaves, vinyl or trash clings to the cover. The cover dries easily even when rainwater remains on the cover.

Abstract: A horizontal drain includes drain main body having a pan mountable in a recess on a floor, and a drain cover unit having a horizontal cover to cover the pan. The pan has a pipe-like body connected with the pan at a downstream end of the pan in the direction of flow of rainwater. The pipe-like body extends horizontally for connection with a drain pipe and is formed with a drain bore for communication with the pan. The cover has an upper surface provided with a plurality of guide ridges which extend from an outer periphery of the cover toward a lateral center portion of the cover in the direction of flow of rainwater. Each of the guide ridges is inclined such that an upper end of the ridge is positioned away from the pipe-like body. Guide gaps for guiding rainwater into the pan are defined between the adjacent guide ridges.

Abstract: Decorative tiles which may be bonded to the surfaces of columns and walls of a building are provided and a method for manufacturing the same is also disclosed. One surface of a tile blank made of a refractory material such as ceramic is coated with a metal layer by a metal spraying process so that a decorative tile looks gorgeous and even when a decorative tile is directly bonded to a concrete wall, it is not attacked or corroded.

Abstract: Balusters for building the balustrades of stairs, verandas or the like, in which baluster bars are telescopically inserted into a main body so that the positions of the baluster bars relative to the main body can be adjusted depending upon the distance between top and bottom rails or the like and/or the slope thereof, whereby the baluster can be easily and quickly joined between the top and bottom rails or the like.
