Abstract: An elongated handle includes at one end a cylindrical housing. A drive element having a tool grasping member at one end, extends into the cylindrical housing. A plurality of camming surfaces on the drive element face an interior wall of the cylindrical housing. Two of the camming surfaces have a spring loaded ball associated therewith for dividing the camming surfaces into first and second regions. A rolling body cage extends into the cylindrical housing, equals dividing the space between the camming surfaces and interior wall into a plurality of compartments. Rolling bodies are inserted in the compartments, and are positionable by rotating the rolling body cage on either side of the spring loaded balls. Depending on the location of the rolling bodies with respect to the spring loaded ball, the direction of rotation of the wrench is controlled.

Abstract: A multi-purpose adjustable hand tool. The hand tool includes at one end thereof a closed box end having an adjustable opening for accommodating different size components. The other end of the multi-purpose hand tool is configured to accept a plurality of different linearly adjustable grasping members, which are adjusted at the same time the box end effective opening is adjusted. A pliers handle and grasping portion may be pivotally connected to the end of the slide for providing an adjustable pliers. Means are provided on the hand tool for linearly positioning the slide within a channel of the handle, thereby effectively changing the size of the tool grasping members.

Abstract: A strap collector (1) is provided which is designed to be attached to the connecting arm (6) of a cargo tightener (2). The strap collector includes a magazine (8, 9) for the protection and storage of the long tensioning strap of the cargo tightener when wound to the shaft (14) of the strap collector. In this manner the strap will be stored, without affecting or impeding the active parts of the strap tightener and without having the tensile force, applied by the cargo tightener upon lashing the cargo down, loading the strap collector or the end of the strap wound thereto.
