    Abstract: A coffee brewing insert for improving the efficiency of a drip coffee maker, including a continuous annular wall defining first and second axially-spaced openings, the first opening having a larger diameter than the second. The insert is placed on the filter of a drip coffee maker and the coffee is placed inside. The orientation of the insert depends on the amount of coffee to be made, with the small opening down for small quantities of coffee and the large opening down for large quantities of coffee.
