Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method of improving product metadata is provided. The method includes storing a plurality of datasets associated with a plurality of items in a database by a server. Each dataset is associated with an item and item metadata and include at least one of an attribute, an item name, a bar code and an item image. The server may present a graphical user interface (GUI) on a user device. The GUI comprises a search box and a set of attribute-based filters. The set of attribute-based filters includes a negative filter and a positive filter. The server receives a search request with a user input and a selection of the negative filter associated with a predefined attribute. The server may apply the negative filter to search the database to present a list of items each without the predefined attribute on the user device based on the search request.
