Abstract: An autonomous mobile device (AMD) may perform various tasks during operation. Some tasks, such as delivering a message to a particular user, may involve the AMD identifying the particular user. The AMD includes a camera to acquire an image, and image-based authentication techniques are used to determine a user's identity. A user may move within in a physical space, and the space may contain various obstructions which may occlude images. The AMD may move within the space to obtain a vantage point from which an image of the face of the user is obtained which is suitable for image-based authentication. In some situations, the AMD may present an attention signal, such as playing a sound from a speaker or flashing a light, to encourage the user to look at the AMD, providing an image for use in image-based authentication.

Abstract: User interfaces that prioritize the presentation of images over other content are generated to facilitate user understanding of available items, especially in cases where a user is accessing a website using a mobile device or other device having a limited display area. When an interface containing images and non-image content is presented, such as a search result output, the user may select an image view in which each image is presented in association with a category of the image, while excluding output of non-image content. User interaction with a particular image may be used to access the non-image content associated with that image. In some cases, user interaction with an image may cause presentation of a three-dimensional model of the depicted item, which may be rotated and magnified through additional user input.

Abstract: Antenna structures and methods of operating the same of a configurable antenna of an electronic device are described. A configurable antenna includes a first antenna element coupled to a radio frequency (RF) feed, a controllable circuit coupled to the first antenna element and a second antenna element coupled to the controllable circuit. The controllable circuit is configured to electrically isolate the first antenna element and the second antenna element to configure the antenna structure to operate in a first antenna configuration having a first length and to electrically connect the first antenna element and the second antenna element to configure the antenna structure to operate in a second antenna configuration having a second length.
