  • Patent number: 10897670
Abstract: A system manages temperature and excursion effects on a loudspeaker. Data corresponding to a temperature of the loudspeaker and data corresponding to an excursion (i.e., displacement) of a membrane of the loudspeaker are determined. The dynamic ranges of the temperature and excursion data are compressed, combined, and smoothed. This smoothed data is multiplied with a delayed version of audio data; peak values of the result may be limited. This operation may be performed on multiple frequency bands of audio data. The final output data is combined to form a full-band signal and sent to a loudspeaker.

  • Publication number: 20210014279
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing communications between multiple intercommunicating computing nodes, such as multiple virtual machine nodes hosted on one or more physical computing machines or systems. In some situations, users may specify groups of computing nodes and optionally associated access policies for use in the managing of the communications for those groups, such as by specifying which source nodes are allowed to transmit data to particular destinations nodes. In addition, determinations of whether initiated data transmissions from source nodes to destination nodes are authorized may be dynamically negotiated for and recorded for later use in automatically authorizing future such data transmissions without negotiation. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and it is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 10891839
Abstract: The present application is directed to creating intrusion zones for security systems. For example, a network device may store data associated with an intrusion zone for an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device, the data indicating at least a conditional setting associated with the intrusion zone and at least one action that a security system is to perform based on the A/V recording and communication device detecting motion within the intrusion zone and the conditional setting being satisfied. The network device may then receive motion data from the A/V recording and communication device, the motion data indicating that the A/V recording and communication device detected the motion within the intrusion zone. Based on receiving the motion data, the network device may determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied and determine that the conditional setting for the intrusion zone is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 10891267
Abstract: System and methods for managing versions of partition maps in a distributed data store are disclosed. A relational database may use partition maps to indicate the location of data in a particular partition, or in a replica thereof. These partition maps may be versioned using a two-stage mechanism in which partition map updates are communicated to all nodes, or to affected nodes only, and in which operation may continue without waiting for acknowledgment of their application to each node. The system may handle minor partition changes differently than major partition changes. For example, if a replica of a partition is promoted to be a primary copy due to hardware or network failures, partition map changes may only be propagated to nodes in the same replica group. For major partition changes (e.g., splits, moves, mergers, added partitions, or size change), a new partition map may be made available to all nodes.

  • Patent number: 10893029
Abstract: A technology is described for a virtual secure region. An example method may include receiving a request for data stored in a secure computing service environment executing on computing resources used to provide a public computing service environment, where the secure computing service environment may be separated from the public computing environment using encryption. In response to the request, a secure region account that corresponds to a public region account may be identified using a translation table that maps the secure region account to the public region account. A storage location for the data may be identified within the secure computing service environment specified by the secure region account, and the data may be obtained from the storage location within the secure computing service environment. The data may then be transferred to the public computing service environment.
