Publication number: 20240193420Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement a neural network training system to train a multitask neural network (MNN) to generate a low-dimensional entity representation based on a sequence of events associated with the entity. In embodiments, an encoder is combined with a group of decoders to form a MNN to perform different machine learning tasks on entities. During training, the encoder takes a sequence of events in and generates a low-dimensional representation of the entity. The decoders then take the representation and perform different tasks to predict various attributes of the entity. As the MNN is trained to perform the different tasks, the encoder is also trained to generate entity representations that capture different attribute signals of the entities. The trained encoder may then be used to generate semantically meaningful entity representations for use with other machine learning systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2024Publication date: June 13, 2024Applicant: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Arijit Biswas, Subhajit Sanyal

Patent number: 12009911Abstract: A method and system are provided for continuously monitoring bandwidth utilization in real time on a backbone of a network. Prefixes using the highest traffic can be identified and additional bandwidth can be provisioned in the form of optical transponder wavelengths. The additional bandwidth can be an express path that passes directly through optical nodes (thereby bypassing transit network devices) to the destination optical node. A centralized controller can perform the monitoring of the network devices, decide that an express path needs to be generated, and control both the network device and the optical network nodes to generate the express path from the network device, through the optical network, to the destination network device. The controller can apply and remove IP static routes and IP addresses associated with an express path. Additionally, the controller can request the setup or tear-down of an optical wavelength within the optical network.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2022Date of Patent: June 11, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Gary Lim, Eric Cables, Meng Koon Lim

Patent number: 12007983Abstract: Methods for implementing insert, update, and delete events of a change-data-capture log in transactional order to a representation of a transactional table are disclosed. Insert events may be applied and committed to the representation, while delete events may be buffered and committed to a shadow table. Such buffering may allow the delete events to be applied and committed as a batch to the given representation as a later background operation, allowing for an optimized application of the change-data-capture log to the representation. Once the delete events are committed to the representation, they are removed from the shadow table. Update events may be similarly treated in which the insert event component of the update event is applied and committed to the representation while the delete event component is committed to the shadow table, before being later committed to the representation and removed from the shadow table.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2022Date of Patent: June 11, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Ippokratis Pandis, Gokul Soundararajan, Gopal Paliwal, Vadim Skipin, Sanuj Basu
