Patents Assigned to Amco Corporation
  • Patent number: 4535688
Abstract: A deep frying basket has a pair of welded wire spring baskets which nest together to define a dish shaped space between them. A pair of more or less spaced parallel wires are welded to each of the wire spring baskets, one pair being welded to the inside bottom of the inner basket and the other pair to the outside bottom of the outer basket. In one embodiment, the two pairs are hinged together on one side of the baskets and formed into handles on the other side of the baskets. At least one pair of the wires is shaped to form a stand which facilitates a loading and unloading of a food product in the defined space.

  • Patent number: 4527743
Abstract: A spray head assembly is made primarily from a very few number of injection molded parts. Preferably a pair of elongated housing shells fit together in face-to-face confrontation, with a spring biased actuator arm or control lever pivotally mounted between them. The lever has a metal shaft extending therefrom, which passes through a flexible cone in a rubber bulkhead to maintain a waterproof seal. In front of the bulkhead is a solid plastic plate having mounted therein a reciprocally slidable member controlled by the lever. The sliding member contains a generally triangular or tapered opening having a sector of a circle for a base. Depending upon the position of the slide, the opening moves up or down to open or close a water passageway through the spray head. The sliding member first presents the apex of the opening to an associated sealing ring to minimize the abruptness of any change in discontinuity of water flow at the edge of the opening.

  • Patent number: 4431031
Abstract: A pre-rinse hose for use in the food service industry is provided. A core section is formed from an inner tube extruded from a rubber compound, a layer of textile braid applied to the inner tube and an outer tube extruded from a rubber compound over the textile braid. A steel braid is applied around the outer tube and a cover of polyvinyl plastic material is extruded over the steel braid. A hollow stem is held in each end of the hose by a ferrule which is crimped and compressed over the hose ends. A wrench-faced nut is disposed on each hollow stem to connect one end of the hose to a faucet and the other end to a pre-rinse spray head. A spring is applied around the end of the hose connected to the faucet to reinforce the hose against breakage.

  • Patent number: 4426008
Abstract: A gravity-feed system for storing and dispensing canned goods on a "first-in, first-out" basis is provided. The system comprises an upper track assembly which is supported by an upright frame and is inclined downwardly from the front to the back of the frame. The upper track assembly includes at least one track adapted to receive a number of cans disposed on their sides. The track has an aperture at its lower end to enable the cans to drop from the track. A lower track assembly is positioned below the first track assembly and is supported by the upright frame. The lower track assembly is inclined downwardly from the back to the front of the frame and includes at least one track corresponding to the track of the upper assembly which is adapted to receive the cans dropping from the track of the upper assembly. Guide means are provided to insure that the cans remain aligned as they move from the upper track to the lower track.

  • Patent number: 4407189
Abstract: A wire cooking rack has a horizontal rectangular supporting frame, with main panels hinged to opposing ends thereof. A locking support bracket is welded to each of the opposite ends of the rectangular frame. These brackets lock and hold the hinged panels, preferably in a slightly over center position, so that the weight of anything mounted on or supported by the rack tends to push the hinged panels toward a more firmly secured position, against the support brackets. A number of skewer positions are formed, at different heights, on the main panels, and on secondary panels secured thereto, in order to provide many different optional skewer support positions and to contribute to a firm support of many different kinds, sizes, and shapes of foods.
