Patents Assigned to Amcor Flexibles North America, Inc.
  • Patent number: 11981487
Abstract: Recyclable films having a first layer containing a polyethylene, a second layer containing a high-density polyethylene and a hydrocarbon resin, and a third layer containing a polyethylene may be used for thermoforming packaging components. Both the first and third layers have an overall density between about 0.92 g/cm3 and 0.97 g/cm3. The film structure is advantageous as it can be more easily thermoformed than traditional high-density polyethylene films and can maintain the shape taken during thermoforming, exhibiting minimal warping or shrinking.

  • Patent number: 11919691
Abstract: A thermoplastic flexible package includes a first non-shrinkable panel, an opposing second non-shrinkable panel, a first shrinkable panel and an opposing a second shrinkable panel. The panels are connected longitudinally with panel seals. The first non-shrinkable panel and the second non-shrinkable panel each forms a gusset. A first seal connects the first shrinkable panel and the second shrinkable panel in the transverse direction at or near the upper edges. A second seal that opposes the first seal connects the first and second non-shrinkable panels and the first and shrinkable panels in the transverse direction at or near the lower edges.

  • Patent number: 11897231
Abstract: A package film is described. The package film comprises a first foil layer having a thickness of 0.5 mil or less but greater than 0 mil and a second foil layer having a thickness of 0.5 mil or less but greater than 0 mil. The package film also comprises a multilayer structure positioned between the first foil layer and the second foil layer. The multilayer structure has a thickness of from 0.75 mil to 2 mil and comprises (a) a high modulus layer having a secant modulus in each of the machine direction and the transverse direction of greater than 120,000 psi or having an elongation at break in each of the machine direction and the transverse direction of less than 150% and (b) a bulk layer comprising polyethylene, polypropylene, ionomer, or blends thereof. The package film further comprises a sealant film, and the sealant film is positioned interior the second foil layer. Various embodiments of the package film are also described.
