Abstract: Corrugated paperboards are prepared for corrugation and adhesive bonding of mediums and liners by exposing the mediums liners and adhesives to radiant energy from a thermal source ranging from 1100.degree. C. to 2300.degree. C. and emitting a dominant wavelength in the range of 2.1 to 1.0 microns. The speed of adhesive bond development is increased. Polymeric adhesives may be used as alternatives to conventional starch based adhesives.

Abstract: A rotary coaxial air feed tube assembly for a pneumatic chuck with one end of the assembly screw coupled to the chuck and the other end of the assembly being coupled to a rotary air feed joint, keying means being provided for coupling the feed tube assembly to a rotary drive spindle so as to impart a rotary drive to the assembly and to the chuck.

Abstract: A louver assembly particularly useful for air-conditioning units and other like appliances comprises a frame defining an opening; a first group of slats extending along one coordinate axis mounted to the frame within the opening and pivotable about that axis; a second group of slats extending along a second coordinate axis mounted on the first group of slats within the opening and pivotable about that axis; and a manipulatable knob coupled to both groups of slats such that moving the knob in a direction parallel to the second coordinate axis pivots the first group of slats about the first coordinate axis, and rotating the knob about the second coordinate axis pivots the second group of slats about the second coordinate axis.

Abstract: Fluid filter apparatus including a body member defining a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a plurality of debris outlet apertures, a filter seated in the body member, and a cover member including a sleeve portion and an annular skirting mounted about the body member and arranged to assume a first orientation wherein the sleeve member is in sealing engagement with the debris outlet apertures and a second orientation wherein the annular skirting lies in adjacent non-sealing relationship with the debris outlet apertures whereby water and debris exiting therefrom impinge on the skirting for being deflected thereby.

Abstract: A heat transfer system is disclosed in which heat is transferrable to a first primary user by means of a two-coil heat exchanger acting as a condenser which is in the high pressure path, while at the same time another two-coil heat exchanger used as a condenser is used to provide cooling to a record primary user. The system also includes a fan type heat exchanger, which acts as the condenser, when the first primary user does not need heating energy. The system is also operable to heat the second primary user whose heat exchanger acts as a condenser, connectible in series with the heat exchanger of the first primary user.

Abstract: Apparatus for improvement of air quality in passenger airplane cabins comprising a source of pressurized air coupled to a central conduit system including a plurality of outlets distributed throughout the passenger compartment of a passenger aircraft, a plurality of outlet devices each communicating with an outlet of the central conduit system, each of the outlet devices having an outlet air path therethrough, and ionization apparatus disposed in the air flow path for ionizing air passing therethrough.

There is also disclosed a combination illumination device and insect electrocution device including a lamp having peak outputs in both the UV region for insect attraction and in the visible region for effective illumination.
