  • Publication number: 20260143644
Abstract: A power supply unit (PSU) exhaust duct includes a plurality of duct walls configured to, when attached to a server, form an enclosed space in communication with a PSU exhaust port of a PSU of the server and an interior space of the server that is outside of the PSU. The PSU exhaust port may be disposed at a rear wall of the server, and the PSU exhaust duct may be attached to a rear wall of the server. By connecting the PSU exhaust port to the interior space of the server, PSU fans of the PSU become in series with server fans of the server (e.g., main cooling fans of the server). Doing so may increase an amount of cool air flowing through the PSU compared to conventional means where the PSU fans and the server fans are in parallel.

  • Publication number: 20260139782
Abstract: The self-centering floating fluid coupler includes a body having a first port and one or more second ports in communication with the first port. The fluid coupler also includes a housing assembly surrounding the body. The housing assembly includes a first opening exposing the first port of the body and a second opening exposing the one or more second ports of the body. The fluid coupler further includes one or more bias members disposed within the housing and configured to bias the body to a central position within the housing assembly. The body is able to move within the housing assembly to accommodate misalignments between the first port and a corresponding connection location (e.g., a mating fitting). Furthermore, the body is biased back to the central position when connections are removed. Accordingly, the fluid coupler allows for a broad range of misalignments.

  • Publication number: 20260126208
Abstract: The broadband acoustic metamaterial disposed within or proximate a server. The broadband acoustic metamaterial includes a body forming a plurality of ducts that have respective open ends configured to be in communication with moving air within or around the server, respective closed ends, respective lengths between the open ends and the closed ends, and respective dimensions (e.g., cross-sections or distances between walls that form the ducts) that are constant throughout the lengths. The ducts are configured to attenuate sound through destructive interference, where the lengths of the ducts correspond to respective target frequencies to attenuate. By using adjacent ducts with different lengths, broadband attenuation may be achieved in a space efficient manner. Furthermore, the ducts may be folded which can provide additional space conserving benefits.

  • Patent number: 12615739
Abstract: A system and apparatus are provided for containing leakage in a cooling system, thereby preventing the leakage from contacting sensitive electronic devices. A containment tray is configured to cover the surface of one or more cold plates and the electronic devices beneath. The containment tray includes an access port in the base of the containment tray for each cold plate. Hydraulic fitting connections on each cold plate pass up through the access ports and are connected to a coolant supply system. The containment tray is clamped to the cold plates with the gaskets creating a seal between the cold plate and the containment tray. Thus, the containment tray is positioned to collect leakage from the coolant supply system connected to an above the cold plates and electronic devices beneath.

  • Patent number: 12575053
Abstract: An apparatus and method provide a barrier in the cooling airflow of a component of a computing device that, when the barrier is extended, impedes the airflow, thereby diverting excess cooling airflow from the component to a different component with a different flow path. In response to increased pressure from the airflow, the barrier retracts to permit a greater airflow. Embodiments respond to an increase or decrease in airflow without requiring additional control input and include barriers that deform or pivot in response to increased pressure to permit greater airflow.

  • Patent number: 12557230
Abstract: A latch is provided for holding stacked expansion boards above a mother board that includes an auto-lock feature that triggers when an expansion board is installed and is reset when the board is removed. The latch includes a trigger arm above which a first latch slider and a second latch slider are stacked. Movement of the trigger arm caused by placement of an expansion board releases the first latch slider to an extended position that holds the expansion board in place. Downward movement of a second expansion board against the second latch slider forces the second latch slider back until the second expansion board is received by a gap between the first and second latch sliders.

  • Patent number: 12542427
Abstract: A method and guide are provided that facilitate the installation and removal of cabling in hard-to-reach locations using a holder to maintain the relative locations of a cable and cable-side connectors and a handle that slides with respect to the holder. The handle may be used to move the cable and cable-side connectors into position with respect to board-side PDB connectors within a chassis. With further downward movement or insertion of the handle, the connectors are then mated. With the handle in a fully downward, inserted, or otherwise latched position with respect to the holder, raised sections of the handle prevent latching teeth or hooks on the cable-side connector from becoming disengaged from the PDB board-side connector, thereby maintaining the connection of the PDB connectors. Uninstallation is the reverse of installation with a single movement of the sliding handle both unlatching and disconnecting the connections.

  • Patent number: 12516546
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for securing a first chassis within a second chassis in a manner than completes a blind connection and maintains that connection without the use of tools. A cam tooth on an arm rotating with respect to the first chassis engages a striker on the second chassis and, with rotation of the arm toward the first chassis, draws the first chassis into the second. The arm is attached to a handle including a cam hook that rotates to engage a striker of the first chassis. With rotation of the cam hook, the striker draws the handle toward the first chassis, the resulting movement of the arm toward the first chassis causing the arm to rotate and the cam tooth to draw the first chassis into the second.
