Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for performing preventative maintenance in a Network Function Virtualization based (NFV-based) communication network. In use, a first potential fault is identified in a first resource in an NFV-based communication network. Additionally, a first time for maintaining the first resource is identified to prevent an occurrence of the first potential fault. Further, a second resource is identified for replacing the first resource during the first time.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for managing a shared quota for a plurality of network subscribers in a consumer telecommunications network. In use, a first usage quota reservation out of a shared quota is allocated to at least one first subscriber among a plurality of network subscribers. Further, it is determined that at least a portion of the shared quota is available. Additionally, a progressively smaller at least one second usage quota reservation out of the at least a portion of the shared quota is recursively allocated to the at least one first subscriber among the plurality of network subscribers, the smaller at least one second usage quota reservation being smaller than the first usage quota reservation out of the shared quota.

Abstract: During execution of a computer program, mouse movements, keyboard inputs, and screen snapshots are recorded and stored in one or more files as a test flow. Next, selected recorded keyboard inputs are replaced with user-specified variable parameters to generate a keyboard testing input, each of the parameters corresponding to a plurality of possible keyboard inputs. Execution is triggered of the test flow including the recorded mouse movements, the recorded screenshots, and the keyboard testing input. If the initially displayed screen is not equivalent to the first screen indicted in the test flow as being the start of the test, the test flow is stopped. Otherwise, the test flow is executed utilizing a random selection of the plurality of possible keyboard inputs of the keyboard testing input. At least one output is provided for the execution of the test flow.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for maintaining quality of experience (QoE) for a client device on a network. In use, access points that are available to a client device are determined, based on a policy. Additionally, a current QoE provided to the client device by one of the access points utilized by the client device to access the network is determined. This QoE could be valued as a score computed by a function called QoE Metric taking QoS parameters as inputs. An expected QoE associated with each of the other access points is then determined. Further, the access point utilized by the client device to access the network is conditionally switched to one of the other access points, based on the current QoE and the expected QoEs. Additionally, any potential QoE downgrades on the current access point is detected using QoE Degradation Patterns that could be matched with current QoS measures and can encourage the client device to determine more accurately the current QoE.

In use, information is collected for all subscribers utilizing at least one service in at least one of a plurality of sectors associated with a communication network, the information including at least an identity associated with each subscriber and a service type being utilized by each subscriber. Further, the collected information is aggregated to determine a sector status for each of the plurality of sectors, the sector status for each of the plurality of sectors including a total number of active subscribers for a corresponding sector, a service distribution associated with the corresponding sector, and a bandwidth consumption associated with the corresponding sector. Additionally, specific business data associated with the active subscribers in each of the plurality of sectors is received.
