Abstract: A hand operated gripping tool comprises a first jaw unit having a workpiece engaging portion, a second jaw unit having a workpiece engaging portion and being movable relative to the first jaw unit such that a variable size workpiece receiving space is defined between the workpiece engaging portions and a handle for applying a force to the second jaw unit. The second jaw unit is engagable with a reaction surface such that, in use, in response to a force applied by the handle, the workpiece engaging portion is forced against a workpiece received in the workpiece receiving space. An elongate extension portion extends from the workpiece engaging portion. The lever arm is connected with the elongate extension portion and the extension portion has a bend promoting portion disposed between the workpiece engaging portion and the lever arm connection that is configured to promote bending of the extension portion.

Abstract: A wrench comprises a handle portion, a head portion releasably secured to the handle portion and a release device. The head portion has an inner surface that defines a fastener receiving aperture and a side entry to the fastener receiving aperture and is movable relative to the handle portion between a loading position in which the side entry is open and an operating position in which the side entry is closed. The head portion is operable to close around a fastener received in the fastener receiving aperture in response to a torque applied in a predetermined direction using the handle portion. The release device is arranged to at least assist in releasing the head portion from the handle portion to permit the head portion to be separated from the handle portion.

Abstract: A product display system and method includes a support, at least one illumination source positioned above the support and operable to illuminate the support area, and at least one product package positioned on and/or supported by the support. The packages are tilted such that the front faces of the tilted packages face at least partially toward the illumination source to provide enhanced illumination of the front faces of the tilted packages. The packages may have at least one tab that angles or tilts the package relative to the support such that the package is tilted toward the illumination source. The tilted packages may be supported at a generally horizontal support surface or at a support arm or the like.

Abstract: A pipe flaring apparatus for use in flaring the end of a pipe preferably comprises a housing, a three jaw clamping chuck (3) in the housing which clamps the pipe (11) as the chuck (3) is propelled along an inclined surface (10a) of a chuck clamp (10) also in the housing by the operation of an outer piston (4) slidable in the housing by mechanical or hydraulic means. An inner piston (5) also mounted in the housing and preferably within the outer piston propels the required flaring tool (6) inwardly compressing pipe end (11a) between the clamping chuck die (3a) and a pipe flaring tool forming face (6b) to form an appropriate flare (11b) on the pipe end (11a). When the inner and outer pistons (4, 5) are deactivated resilient members preferably in the form of helical compression springs (8a, 8b) disengage the flaring head tool (6) and the clamping chuck (3) from the flared pipe (11a). The pipe (11) can easily be withdrawn through the chuck (3) and chuck clamp (10).

Abstract: A compartmentalized container for holding and dispensing flowable material and method for making such a compartmentalized container includes opposite sheet portions selectively sealed together to define a plurality of single use dispensers and a header portion that is integral with the dispensers. Each of the dispensers includes a closed cavity defined by an area of the sheet portions that is not sealed together. Each of the dispensers is separable from the container and openable to dispense the flowable material from a respective one of the cavities. The dispensers may be separable from the container via cutting or tearing the dispensers from one another or from the header portion. The header portion may include product information and may include a means for hanging the container. Each of the dispensers may include an applicator brush formed or defined at an edge portion of the dispenser.

Abstract: A product display system includes a support, at least one illumination source positioned substantially above the support and operable to illuminate the support, and a plurality of product packages positioned on the support. The packages may have at least one tab extending generally downwardly from the front wall or opposite side walls. The tab angles or tilts the package relative to the support such that the package is tilted toward the illumination source. The packages are tilted such that the front walls of the tilted packages face at least partially toward the illumination source to provide enhanced illumination of the front walls of the tilted packages. The plurality of packages may be arranged in rows on a shelf, with the rows of packages being nested together.

Abstract: A container for housing flowable material, such as grease, adhesive, lubricant, or other materials, is disclosed that facilitates the application of the flowable material onto a workpiece. The container may include ribs or other guide structures that direct or limit the flow of the material after the workpiece is inserted into the container, and its contents manually squeezed. The squeezing of the container directs the flowable material onto the workpiece without the need for a separate applicator and without the need to manually touch the flowable material.

Abstract: A foam type engine degreaser composition consisting of an opaque, viscous emulsion having a high water content. A controlled amount of water is added to middle distillate degreasers such as kerosene, naptha, fuel oil and/or heavy naptha so as to form an emulsion which thickens the solvent and causes foaming.
