  • Patent number: 6672012
Abstract: A gutter cover for directing the flow of rainwater from a building roof into a gutter mounted to the peripheral edge thereof while preventing debris such as leaves and twigs from entering and clogging the gutter. The cover is secured to the roof of the building such that rainwater flowing down the shingles will flow across the cover at the bottom roof line. A lower end of the cover has an arcuate nose disposed substantially above the outer edge of the gutter. The surface of the gutter is treated with one or more combinations of coatings and/or substrate textures to slow the flow of water while improving flow to the cover surface. Rainwater will flow around the arcuate nose into the gutter while debris carried by the rainwater is expelled outwardly over the edge of the gutter.

  • Patent number: 6634352
Abstract: A venting system for a direct vent fireplace or other direct vent appliance to direct combustion gases to an exterior area. The direct venting vent pipe facilitates unrestricted lengths of pipe installations. The vent pipe has a double wall construction forming an interior axial passageway and a coaxial outer passageway. The double walls are spaced apart by an insert to maintain coaxial spacing. Sections of the vent pipe are lockingly connected to prevent separation and ensure sealing connection between the pipe sections. Elastic seal members are utilized between the matingly connected sections and a mechanical lock assembly prevents separation.

  • Patent number: 5468026
Abstract: A spacer clip for maintaining the coaxial spacing of the walls in a multiple wall chimney. A plurality of spacer clips are circumferentially positioned within the annulus between the walls. The clip attaches to the outer wall and includes a biasing arm which engages the inner wall to maintain the spacing between the walls. The biasing arm of the clips may be retracted to facilitate insertion or removal of the inner wall from within the outer wall.

  • Patent number: 4929000
Abstract: A multiple walled metal chimney formed of a plurality of axially joined chimney sections each of which utilizes positionally captured spacer rings. Joint clamps are used to connect the chimney sections for formation of the complete chimney conduit. The spacer rings are positionally captured between annular shoulders formed in the inner and outer walls of the chimney sections to eliminate welding of the rings. The rings may include an expansion joint to allow circumferential expansion and contraction of the ring with the walls.

  • Patent number: 4907500
Abstract: A one-piece damper lever for a multi-louvered damper of the type mountable within a duct opening formed in a floor, wall or ceiling. The lever is used to pivot louvers between an open and closed position in order to control the flow of air through the damper. The lever is pivotable to a low-profile position such that it rests substantially coplanar with the damper face. The one-piece construction eliminates assembly following installation and the low profile reduces damage during shipping as well as providing a streamlined appearance to the damper grill.

  • Patent number: 4763565
Abstract: A ceiling air diffuser convertible between a flush-face diffuser with the louvers mounted substantially flush with the ceiling and a drop-down diffuser which provides a more efficient disperison of air flow. By providing this conversion capability, manufacturing and inventory costs are reduced by eliminating duplicity of components for each type of diffuser. The essential component of the drop-down diffuser is a stepped support bracket which is detachably connected to the peripheral frame of the diffuser and to which the directional vanes are mounted. Conversion is accomplished by simply interchanging the removable fin core within the frame member.
