Patents Assigned to American Power Equipment Company
  • Patent number: 5211611
Abstract: A planocentric drive mechanism is disclosed which includes a plurality of longitudinally extending pins arranged in a circle about an axis of rotation, a rotating shaft which carries an eccentric cam, and a pinion gear which is rotatably carried by the eccentric cam. The pinion gear has a plurality of apertures formed therethrough, within which the pins are disposed, thereby limiting the pinion gear to oscillation. An output shaft is aligned with and rotatably about the axis of rotation, and includes a plurality of second pins which mesh with cycloidal teeth disposed about the periphery of the pinion gear.

  • Patent number: 5099183
Abstract: A process controller for maintaining constant pressure under varying flow conditions, including a variable ramp generator and a constant threshold generator which are used to phase-control the current to the pump motor. The process controller can operate over a wide range of incoming AC power line frequencies, and has safety features which drive the motor to its mininum speed in the event of a failure at the setpoint control potentiometer and also disconnect power to the controller if the pressure exceeds a dangerous magnitude.
