  • Patent number: 5423932
Abstract: Leaks can be sealed quickly by methods employing a flexible patch applied by a resilient applicator that can be caused to exert sufficient force against the patch and the leaking surface to stop fluid flow while a leak sealant is curing. The resilient applicator comprises a resilient deformable member having a wall that defines a cavity for receiving the patch entirely within the cavity together with a leak sealant for application to the leak.

  • Patent number: 3976613
Abstract: A hardenable, liquid film forming composition capable of being applied as a uniform coating and hardening to a smooth tough and adherent coating on metal and non-metal substrates. The hardened coating possesses good mechanical properties and solvent and acid resistant properties. The composition comprises:A. a liquid epoxy resin having terminable epoxy groups and an epoxy equivalent from about 185 to 210;B. a filler material in an amount between about 20 and 50 weight percent of said epoxy;C. an effective amount of a dispersing agent for said filler material; andD. a hardening additive for said epoxy resin of the structural formula: ##SPC1##Wherein n has a value of at least 2.
