Patent number: 11751618Abstract: A facemask includes an air-filtering portion comprising an air-permeable filtering media; a see-through portion in the filtering media; and a layered portion on each opposing side of the see-through portion. The see-through portion is configured so that, in use, a mouth of a wearer is visible therethrough, and is formed from a transparent film covering a void in, and fixed along its periphery to, the filtering media. The film extends across the length of the facemask, including over the void, forming layered portions of film on filtering media on opposing sides of the clear-portion. A method of manufacture includes removing, e.g., kiss-cutting, the air-permeable filtering media away to form the see-through portion, after layering the film onto the filtering media.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2017Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: Prestige Ameritech, Ltd.Inventors: Rex D. Patent number: 10849375Abstract: A perimeter seal device is constructed in three layers to easily convert a non-sealed face mask to a face mask with a perimeter seal. The device has a top and bottom release liner, partitioned for providing the perimeter seal to an existing manufactured mask, with a double-sided adhesive layer in the middle formed with pressure-sensitive adhesive. A pre-cut perimeter portion of the adhesive layer provides the perimeter seal. The construction of the perimeter seal device allows alternate methods for fixing either side of the perimeter portion of the adhesive layer onto a face mask. The opposing side of the adhesive perimeter portion is adhered directly on a wearer's face. The device provides a way to convert a surgical or other non-sealed face mask to a sealed mask.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2020Date of Patent: December 1, 2020Assignee: Prestige Ameritech, Ltd.Inventors: Michael L. Patent number: 10117470Abstract: A medical gown includes tie straps detachably connected to sleeves of the gown. The straps are detachable by tugging on them once the gown is donned. The tie members are extendable, upon being detached, around the left and right sides to a back of the medical gown for tying together to form a closure around a waist of a wearer. The tie members may be sufficiently long to extend back around for tying in the front of the gown. A section of each of the left and right tie straps may be folded over lengthwise, a portion of the folded section of each tie member being detachably connected to the sleeves. Once the wearer detaches the folded tie members, the tie members may be unfolded and elongated as needed for adjustably sizing the closure securing the medical gown on the wearer.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2015Date of Patent: November 6, 2018Assignee: Prestige Ameritech, Ltd.Inventors: George Daniel Reese, Donna L. Patent number: 9945535Abstract: A luminaire. The luminaire includes a geometric solid. The geometric solid has a length and includes a first geometric solid portion which includes an optically clear material and a second geometric solid portion which includes the optically clear material, wherein the first and second geometric solid portions are conjoined. The luminaire further includes a cavity defined by the first and second geometric solid portions, a plurality of discrete light sources positioned to emit light into the cavity, a first aperture positioned to allow a first portion of light in the cavity to pass into the first geometric solid portion, and a second aperture positioned to allow a second portion of the light in the cavity to pass into the second geometric solid portion.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2016Date of Patent: April 17, 2018Assignee: AMERITECH LLCInventors: John N. Magno, Gene C. Koch, Christopher Magno

The geometric solid has a length and includes a first geometric solid portion which includes an optically clear material and a second geometric solid portion which includes the optically clear material, wherein the first and second geometric solid portions are conjoined. The luminaire also includes an anti-glare material optically connected to the first and second geometric solid portions. The luminaire further includes a cavity defined by the first and second geometric solid portions, a plurality of discrete light sources positioned to emit light into the cavity, a first aperture positioned to allow a first portion of light in the cavity to pass into the first geometric solid portion, and a second aperture positioned to allow a second portion of the light in the cavity to pass into the second geometric solid portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2017Publication date: March 15, 2018Applicant: Ameritech LLCInventors: John N. Patent number: 9770059Abstract: A medical gown includes a self-adjusting strap(s) that expands an upper torso section beyond a nominal girth thereof, for an adjustable fit. An upper and lower self-adjusting strap may be provided across the back. The straps may be formed from perforations in the upper torso section. A portion of the gown breaks away along the perforations to form the straps in response to stress or pulling when donned or during use. The self-adjusting straps allow expansion of the upper torso section to conform to users who require larger than the nominal girth, while continuing to secure the medical gown on the wearer during use. Extendable tie straps may be included, which are unfolded and elongated for adjustably sizing the closure around the wearer's waist. The tie straps may be sufficiently long to extend to the back, and back around the waist again for tying in the front of the gown.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2015Date of Patent: September 26, 2017Assignee: Prestige Ameritech, Ltd.Inventors: George Daniel Reese, Donna L. Publication number: 20140142726Abstract: An automation system for programming appliances having programmable controllers, programmable devices and trigger devices that communicate over a communication link. The user programs the programmable devices by placing the programmable controller in its training mode, activating the trigger device to generate a trigger signed and places select programmable devices in their programmed state. After all of the desired programmable devices have been put in then programmed states, the user takes the programmable controller out of its training mode. When the programmable controller is out of its training mode, it monitors the communication link for the trigger event. Upon detecting the trigger event, the programmable controller sends messages to the selected programmable devices instructing them to go to their programmed state.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2014Publication date: May 22, 2014Applicant: Ameritech Services, Inc.Inventor: RAYMOND W.
