Patent number: 12264795Abstract: A lighting system including a housing defining a cavity. The housing has catches protruding into the cavity. The lighting system has a direct reflector positioned in the cavity that has a first and second branch. The first and second branches each have a finger extending from the branch at a branch intersection and bending at a finger joint, and a bent shank also extending from the branch intersection. The bent shank extends along a neck portion and bends at a shoulder to form a nook. The first and second branches are configured to snap into the catches of the housing between the finger joint and the shoulder of the bent shank. The lighting system also has a lens configured to snap into the nook of the bent shank, and an LED printed circuit board positioned between the branches.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2024Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: AMERLUX, LLCInventors: Avinash Sanichar, Alister Mallet, Ernesto Buchana

Patent number: 12135119Abstract: A frame assembly for a recessed luminaire. The frame assembly has a planar platform with a sheetrock side and an exposed side opposing the sheet rock side. The planar platform defines a central aperture for receiving the recessed luminaire, and a plurality of perforations disposed around the central aperture, the perforations configured for receiving construction compound. The frame assembly has at least two barbs configured for bending out of a plane of the platform for insertion into sheetrock. Each barb has a barb base extending away from the exposed side of the planar platform at a 45 degree angle. Each barb has a barbed shank region extending towards the sheet rock side at a 90 degree angle with respect to the barb base so that the barbed shank region is configured to be secured into sheetrock when the sheetrock side of the platform is against sheetrock.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2024Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: AMERLUX, LLCInventors: Olga Sinitsky, Ronald Sola

Publication number: 20140028191Abstract: Lighting systems are disclosed, including a multi-die LED array; and LED driver electronics, which include voltage regulating electronics which regulate rectified low voltage AC. The voltage regulating electronics include: booster electronics that sense rectified low voltage AC and boost the LVAC to a predetermined voltage for powering the multi-die LED; power factor correcting electronics that sense the AC current and AC voltage in the driver and control the booster electronics to further regulate the voltage, thereby providing power factor correction; and constant current electronics which sense one or both of current and voltage through the driver and control the booster electronics to further regulate the voltage, thereby providing substantially constant current to the multi-die LED array.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 2, 2013Publication date: January 30, 2014Applicant: Amerlux, LLCInventor: Itai Leshniak
