  • Publication number: 20140246838
Abstract: A wheelbarrow leg stabilizer having a slip resistant lower surface is provided. Preferably, the slip resistant lower surface includes a plurality of edges structured to engage the ground and thereby increase the starting friction. More preferably, the edges are part of a deformation in the leg stabilizer body. When the stabilizer body is constructed from a generally planar metal member, the deformations may be punched in the stabilizer body thereby creating openings adjacent the deformations. This configuration provides for both an edge that engages the ground but also a face that creates a larger contact surface with the ground.

  • Publication number: 20130269250
Abstract: Nested planters are provided. The nested planters include a body having a base assembly and a depending sidewall, the body defining a substantially enclosed space. The base assembly includes a generally horizontal planar member and a stand-off feature. The stand-off feature is structured to extend downwardly from the planar member. A substantial portion of the body sidewall is structured to correspond to the body sidewall of another nesting planter when two nesting planters are nested.

  • Publication number: 20130140392
Abstract: A hose guide for a hose reel deck box is provided. More specifically, the hose guide is a one piece, or unitary body, component. The unitary body hose guide is structured to snap-fit to one or two travel bars that are part of the unitary body of the hose reel deck box housing assembly. The hose guide preferably includes two semi-enclosed passages that are structured to be slidably coupled to the travel bars.

  • Publication number: 20130140393
Abstract: A stiffener structured to support a unitary housing component comprised of substantially flat sidewalls is provided. A unitary housing comprised of substantially flat sidewalls, e.g. a housing for a hose reel, is a housing component that is substantially free of support ribs and other contoured surfaces. The stiffener is molded separately from the unitary housing component and coupled thereto. Preferably, the stiffener is a band extending under, or about, the perimeter of the lower side of the unitary housing component. Use of the stiffener allows the unitary housing component to remain free of substantial support ribs and other contoured surfaces thereby allowing for less expensive molds and a reduced failure rate of produced elements.

  • Publication number: 20130140398
Abstract: A basket assembly coupling assembly is provided. The basket assembly coupling assembly is structured to support a unitary housing component. That is, a unitary sidewall is thin and subject to wear and tear resulting from stress on the unitary sidewall when the hose, and more specifically the basket assembly, is wound. The basket assembly coupling assembly is structured to support the unitary sidewall proximate the coupling of the basket assembly to the unitary sidewall.

  • Publication number: 20130036877
Abstract: A coupling for an elongated handle and a tool head is provided. The coupling may be positioned at the handle upper end after the handle upper end has passed through the tool head eye. The coupling is a frustoconical shape which engages the tool head in a manner of a slip eye coupling. However, because the lower end of the handle does not pass through the tool head eye, the lower end of the handle, i.e., the grip, may have any shape. Thus, the present invention allows for use of a slip eye coupling while also allowing the handle grip to be of any shape.

  • Publication number: 20120267486
Abstract: A flower pot holder includes a collapsing frame assembly that moves between two configurations; an open configuration and a drawn-in configuration. In the first configuration, the frame assembly is spaced from a central axis, over which a flower pot is disposed. In the second configuration, members of the frame assembly are moved toward the central axis of the frame assembly, thereby engaging and holding the flower pot. Moreover, the force that causes the frame assembly to move from the first configuration to the second configuration is the weight of the flower pot; that is, as a user places the flower pot on the frame assembly, the frame assembly automatically moves to the second configuration to grip the flower pot.

  • Publication number: 20120256033
Abstract: A frame assembly for a hose reel is provided. The frame assembly includes closed extrusion members. Closed extrusion members are structured to hide visually displeasing elements such as, but not limited to, support ribs. The closed extrusion members face downwards and backwards so that the visually pleasing outer side of the closed extrusion members are typically visible.

  • Publication number: 20120255627
Abstract: A hose reel that may be assembled substantially without coupling hardware is provided. That is, the hose reel uses other types of coupling devices, notably snap-fit couplings for substantially all connections. This concept requires new components, such as a rotational coupling disposed between the hose reel frame assembly and the rotating basket assembly.

  • Publication number: 20120256383
Abstract: A wheel for a wheelbarrow wherein the wheel body forms wide spokes is provided. The spokes are formed by openings between the hub and the rim in the bodies that form the wheel. While such spokes are known, the openings that create the spokes provide additional points of entry for debris and water into the enclosed space. Thus, a sealed, fragmented seam coupling the wheel bodies is further provided.

  • Publication number: 20120255625
Abstract: A hose reel having a frame assembly with a horizontally split frame is provided. That is, the frame assembly includes a handle assembly and a lower frame assembly. Unlike the prior art, however, the lower frame assembly includes two side frame assemblies and a base assembly with side members and cross members. The side frame assemblies are coupled to the base assembly and are structured to rotatably support a basket assembly. The basket assembly may be rotatably coupled to the side frame assemblies and then the side frame assemblies can be coupled to the lower frame assembly. In this configuration, neither the side frame assemblies nor the base assembly are spread during the coupling of the basket assembly to the frame assembly.

  • Publication number: 20120255626
Abstract: A hose reel having a lower frame assembly with two side frame assemblies and a handle assembly with arms that are disposed in-line with the side frame assemblies is provided. The handle assembly includes two annular couplings, one disposed at the distal end of each handle assembly arm. The annular couplings include a circular opening. These openings may be disposed about the axis of rotation of a basket assembly, about which the hose is wound, and/or the rotational coupling between the basket assembly and the frame assembly. Having a handle assembly coupling at this location reduces the amount of torque between the handle assembly and the frame assembly when the hose reel is being pushed/pulled. Further, as the handle assembly arms are in line with the side frame assemblies, this configuration is generally considered more attractive than the offset handles of the prior art.

  • Publication number: 20120049550
Abstract: A foldable shovel structured for scooping/pushing is provided. The disclosed foldable shovel includes two arcuate members that are hinged together at one end. In the folded configuration the two arcuate members are nested. Further, the coupling device includes a locking disk assembly structured to allow the arcuate members to be configured in different positions relative to each other. Thus, the foldable shovel may be optimally configured as either a scooping device or a pushing device.
