  • Patent number: 9677390
Abstract: A reciprocating pump drive assembly for driving a reciprocation of a polish rod relative to a well casing includes a support frame which supports a pair of hydraulic actuators such that the cylinder portions thereof are fixed relative to the well casing. A mounting frame is supported at a top end thereof on the top ends of the piston portions of the hydraulic actuators so as to extend downwardly to a polish rod mounting bracket at the bottom end of the mounting frame. The top end of the polish rod is thus supported by the mounting frame so as to be suspended below the top end of the hydraulic actuators for improved access during servicing and for greater overall lateral stability of the drive assembly.

  • Patent number: 8776627
Abstract: A drive assembly for connection to the polish rod of a reciprocating pump includes a support frame fixed in proximity to a wellhead. A linear actuator includes a lower portion fixed to the support frame and an upper portion supporting two pairs of direction altering cable guides thereon. Four lengths of cable each include a first portion substantially anchored to relative to the polish rod by a pump bracket, a second portion substantially anchored to the support frame by an anchor bracket, and an intermediate portion extending through a respective one of the direction altering cable guides on the upper portion of the linear actuator between the first portion and the second portion.

  • Publication number: 20110265999
Abstract: A reverse torque drive system for a wellhead has a hydraulic pump having an inlet and an outlet, and a hydraulic motor having a first port and a second port. There is a valve body having a first position that connects the outlet of the hydraulic motor to the first port and the second port to the inlet, and a second position that connects the outlet to the second port and the first port to the inlet. One or more sensors are connected to measure a condition, and a controller moves the valve body from the first position to the second position upon the sensor sensing a predetermined condition.

  • Patent number: 7669650
Abstract: A stuffing box for a rotating rod includes a stationary housing and a tubular rotating inner housing. The stationary outer housing has an upper end, a lower end, an exterior surface and an inner surface defining an interior cavity. The inner housing is positioned within the interior cavity of the outer housing. The inner housing has an upper end, a lower end, an exterior surface and an inner surface defining an interior bore adapted to accommodate a rod. Bearings are disposed between the outer housing and the inner housing to facilitate rotation of the inner housing. An inner seal assembly provides a seal that prevents the migration of fluids between the inner housing and the rod. An outer seal assembly provides a seal that prevents the migration of fluids between the inner housing and the outer housing.
