Patents Assigned to Amjo Infra Red Dryers, Inc.
  • Patent number: 5321595
Abstract: A two bulb mercury vapor lamp apparatus includes a housing with a bottom whose cross-section forms a curved "M" shape. A pair of reflectors are attached to the bottom of the housing with each reflector positioned in one-half of the "m". The reflectors direct light from the bulbs onto a focal plane where a photosensitive material is located. A plurality of quartz liquid coolant circulating tubes are positioned between the bulbs and the photosensitive material which tubes both cool the lamp and filter out infrared rays. The coolant tubes are attached to a pair of end blocks which are removably secured to the housing. The end blocks, connected plumbing lines and coolant tubes can be lowered from the housing intact, thus greatly facilitating maintenance access to the bulbs and reflectors.

  • Patent number: 4773167
Abstract: A heater for drying printed material and the like is provided which includes a mounting frame for mounting the heater on a press and the like. The heater is movable on the mounting frame between operating and storage positions. A heat deflector assembly deflects heat away from the impression cylinder of the press. A heat lamp assembly is mounted on the heat deflector assembly and includes an enclosure with a pair of quartz tube, infrared heat lamps therein.

  • Patent number: 4727655
Abstract: A heat lamp assembly including a housing with first and second ends and opposite sides. A quartz tube heat lamp is mounted within the housing and extends between its sides. An air bar is also mounted within the housing and extends between its sides in parallel, spaced relation to the heat lamp. The air bar includes inlet and outlet openings and comprises a material with a relatively high coefficient of thermal conductivity for receiving heat from the heat lamp whereby air passing therethrough is warmed.

  • Patent number: 4716658
Abstract: A heat lamp assembly is provided which includes a housing with a pair of quartz tube, infrared heat lamps mounted therein. A pair of reflectors partially enclose the heat lamps ad include extension legs which project downwardly from the housing and partially under the respective heat lamps. The heat lamp assembly is mounted on a printing press which includes a delivery area for a stack of printed sheets and a structure partially overhanging the delivery area. The reflector extension legs extend in an upstream direction with respect to the printing press whereby those areas of the printed sheets underneath the overhanging structure receive infrared radiation from the heat lamps.
