    Abstract: A connector with at least one guiding portion is provided along with a shell and an insulating body of the connector. The connector includes a plurality of metal terminals in addition to the insulating body and the shell. The metal terminals are fixedly provided in the insulating body. The insulating body is mounted in the shell, and the connector is characterized in that at least one plate-shaped guiding portion extends upward from a portion of the top edge of either the shell or the insulating body. While another connector is being connected to or disconnected from the connector, the guiding portion guides the another connector to facilitate electrical connection with or detachment from the connector.

    Abstract: A connector assembly has a slidable locking frame used for unlocking latches on a plug connector and a socket connector. When the plug connector and the socket connector are connected and the slidable locking frame is mounted around the plug connector and by use of a lifting force moves toward a top side of the plug connector, the two first locking units of the plug connector are pushed outward by the two pushing units of the slidable locking frame respectively, and disengaged, or unlocked, from the two fastening portions of the socket connector respectively, and the slidable locking frame unlocks the two first locking units simultaneously to prevent a user from pulling the plug connector forcibly away from the socket connector before full unlocking of the two locking units.

The rear surface of the plug connector has two first locking units, at least one of the plug connector and the slidable locking portions has an inclined contact surface, and when the plug connector is connected to a socket connector and the slidable locking portions are engaged with the plug connector and move toward the top side of the plug connector, the rear surface of the plug connector is pushed outward with the assistance of the inclined contact surface, unlocking the first locking units from the engaging portions on the socket connector respectively.

An end of a positioning terminal can be inserted into a positioning groove on the recessed part and then be exposed out of the back side surface with a length larger than the length of the protruded part that is approximately equal to the length of the signal terminal extended out the back side surface, whereby the end of the positioning terminal can be inserted into a positioning hole on a circuit board when the back side surface is positioned on the circuit board.
