Abstract: A line puller attached to the limb adjustment bolts used for adjusting tension on high-performance bows is provided. The line puller may be shaped to facilitate capture of the line around an enlarged projection having a flared flanged that coaxes the line into an overlap configuration to cinch the line on a narrow winding portion.
Abstract: A reel for fishing line or the like provides for extremely rapid payout by releasing the line to unwind by sliding rapidly around a guide surrounding the line spool and by rotation of the line spool itself. A lever controls a line guide preventing sliding of the fishing line around the guide and providing controllable friction and locking of rotation of the line spool only when actuated by the user to permit retraction of the line or controlled tensioning of the line.
Abstract: An arrowhead for bowfishing supports pivoting barbs that may refracted rearward to pass through a fish and then extended to retain the fish on the arrow. The barbs provide a truncated stop surface striking a rear of the arrow tip when the arrow tip is tightened on the arrowhead to prevent their forward motion from the extended position when the tip is tightened on the arrowhead and yet to allow such motion when the tip is slightly loosened but not removed. The barbs are offset with respect to their pivot point so that a slight loosening of the arrow tip also allows the barbs to pass forward over the arrow tip for retraction of the fish from the arrow while the tip is retained on the arrowhead.
Abstract: A nock adapter for a solid shaft bowfishing arrow fits on a standard conical taper of a solid shaft arrow and provides an extended cylindrical joint releasably engaging a cylindrical boss of a nock for field replacement of the nock while resisting lateral disengaging impacts.
