Abstract: Composition for the preparation of artificial calf milk, which composition in addition to carbohydrates, also contains lactoproteins, vegetable protein and fat, characterized in that at least one part of the vegetable protein consists of soluble wheat protein.
Abstract: The residual flow of the starch preparation from wheat, rye, oats or barley is thickened to a dry material content of 17 to 25 weight % after which an enzyme preparation with pentosanase activity, originating from fungi or yeasts, is added. The enzyme preparation is allowed to react for 0.5 to 4 hours with a pH of 2.6 to 3.7 and at a temperature between 30 and 50.degree. C. and the starch fraction is separated afterward with an increased yield. The starch thus obtained is a calibrated, fine grained starch of which at least 90 weight % of the grains have a diameter of 3 to 12 micrometer.
Abstract: 50 to 95 parts by weight starch and 5 to 50 parts by weight polyvinyl alcohol with a degree of saponification between 87 and 100% are thoroughly mixed and furthermore the moisture content of the mixture is regulated between 10 and 25 weight %. Subsequently the mixture obtained is subjected to a thermo-mechanical treatment at a temperature situated between 110.degree. and 180.degree. C. During the extrusion the mixture is subjected to shearing forces so that the product obtained when it is dispersed in cold water and subsequently is centrifuged, divides into a watery phase and a coacervate phase without a sediment of undissolved polyvinyl alcohol being formed.

Abstract: Preparation according to which preparation a feed slurry and an effluent are obtained. The effluent is subjected to a thermal treatment in which resident proteins coagulate, the high protein solid components are removed and the effluent is. The evaporated feed slurry is thereupon hydrolyzed and said feed slurry is mixed with the effluent. Prior or after mixing the effluent, the mixture, is subjected to a lactic acid fermentation. After fermentation and mixing the mixture is further evaporated to a dry material content of 45 to 55 weight %.
