Abstract: There is herein described a plasma treatment system and a method for sterilizing. More particularly, there is described a plasma treatment system for rigid containers and a method of using the plasma treatment system for sterilizing the rigid containers. In some aspects, the plasma treatment system includes a sterilizing apparatus having a receptacle with a flexible passageway or indentation.
Abstract: The present application concerns an apparatus and the corresponding use of a drain decontamination apparatus for decontamination and disinfecting floor drains contaminated with pathogens. The drain decontamination apparatus comprises an open enclosure capable of forming a seal against an area of floor, a dielectric barrier discharge device (2) capable of forming ozone, and sealing means (6) attached to ends of the open enclosure where the sealing means is capable of forming a seal against an area of the floor.
