  • Patent number: 11977121
Abstract: Described herein is a device for autonomously monitoring a battery is provided. The device is integrated with the battery (e.g., by being electrically coupled to the battery). The device obtains measurement data by injecting electrical signals into the battery and measuring an electrical response of the battery. The device participates in an authentication protocol with a computing device to verify a unique identity of the device to the computing device. After performing the authentication protocol verifying the unique identity of the device, the device transmits battery data to the computer. Further, techniques for verifying the identity of the battery using measurement data obtained by the device are described herein. The techniques generate a battery signature using the measurement data that is then used to verify the identity of the battery. For example, the battery signature may be used to determine whether the battery is counterfeit or defective.

  • Patent number: 11973424
Abstract: Described herein is a spur-free technique for a switching regulator. The switching regulator may self-adaptively reduce the spur of the output voltage without affecting performance of the switching frequency, The switching regulator may track a coil current and may use an active feedback loop to adaptively generate an artificial coil current, which tracks an amplitude of the coil current but having opposite phase. The artificial coil current may then be injected into an output node to cancel the coil current ripple.

  • Patent number: 11971957
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques to aggregate sensor data. The techniques perform operations comprising: receiving, from a first sensor, a first profile representing a first set of movement attributes detected by the first sensor in an area at a given point in time; receiving, from a second sensor, a second profile representing a second set of movement attributes detected by the second sensor in the area at the given point in time; computing a similarity measure between the first and second sets of movement attributes of the first and second profiles; determining that the similarity measure exceeds a threshold value; and in response to determining that the similarity measure exceeds the threshold value, associating the first and second profiles with a same first object that is in the area at the given point in time.

  • Patent number: 11973473
Abstract: Apparatus and methods provide predistortion for a phased array. Radio frequency (RF) sample signals from phased array elements are provided along return paths and are combined by a hardware RF combiner. Phase shifters are adjusted such that the RF sample signals are phase-aligned when combined. Adaptive adjustment of predistortion for the amplifiers of the phased array can be based on a signal derived from the combined RF sample signals.

  • Patent number: 11967972
Abstract: Chopping techniques that suppress fold-back into the signal band and spreads the offset across the spectrum are described. By using various techniques, chopping may be performed with a variable frequency clock to spread the offset across the signal spectrum. Spreading the offset across the signal spectrum means that there are no longer large spurious tones at a few frequencies.

  • Patent number: 11959876
Abstract: A cap for use with devices, such as sensors. The cap includes protrusions on its underside, to restrict the movement of a liquid or a gel placed under cap. The protrusions may take the form of walls or pillars, depending on the application. As such, the cap retains the liquid or gel in a specified position on the device. For example, an electrochemical sensor may require a liquid electrolyte to remain in place over one or more electrodes. The protrusions may not extend far enough to touch the device, but rather leave a small gap. However, because of the surface tension of the liquid, the liquid generally stays within the protrusions.

  • Patent number: 11959942
Abstract: A rate of change of current sensor includes two measurement coils, arranged such that the turns of the first and second measurement coils are interleaved. The rate of change of current sensor further comprises two return coils, arranged to progress in an opposite direction to the measurement coils. The coils form loops and progress substantially around a target measurement conductor. This ensures that the two measurement coils both receive the same electrostatic coupling from external conductors which are not the target of the measurement operation. Further, the two measurement coils are arranged such that the first coil and the second coil are, on average, the same distance to the current-carrying conductor of interest.

  • Patent number: 11953567
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a magnetic multi-turn sensor comprising a continuous coil of magnetoresistive elements and a method of manufacturing said sensor. The continuous coil is formed on a substrate such as a silicon wafer that has been fabricated so as to form a trench and bridge arrangement that enables the inner and outer spiral to be connected without interfering with the magnetoresistive elements of the spiral winding in between. Once the substrate has been fabricated with the trench and bridge arrangement, a film of the magnetoresistive material can be deposited to form a continuous coil on the surface of the substrate, wherein a portion of the coil is formed in the trench and a portion of the coil is formed on the bridge.

  • Patent number: 11955133
Abstract: Disclosed is an audio signal processing method implemented by an audio system with internal and external sensors. The internal sensor measures acoustic signals propogating internally to a user's head. The external sensor measures acoustic signals propagating externally to the user's head. The method includes: producing first and second audio signals by measuring simultaneously acoustic signals reaching the internal and external sensors, respectively; filtering the second audio signal by a noise matching filter matching a second noise signal affecting the second audio signal with a first noise signal affecting the first audio signal, wherein the first noise signal and the second noise signal correspond to a same noise acoustic signal originating outside the user's head and measured by respectively the internal and external sensors, thereby producing a filtered second audio signal including a matched second noise signal; and mixing the filtered second audio signal and the first audio signal.
