Abstract: A system for analyzing medical operational performance information comprising: defining a set of operational performance metrics relevant to a medical treatment setting, determining the value of one or more members of the set of operational performance metrics based on information from one or more data sources, determining an expected value for the operational performance metric, associating a set of potential correlational factors or root causes with each operational performance metric; and determining the significance of the correlational factors or root causes on the deviation of the operational performance metric from its expected value by applying standard statistical methods.
