The method may include creating an IA record for the current filing. The method may include obtaining IA data for one or more related filings. The current filing and the one or more related filings belong to a family of intellectual assets. The method may also include preparing for creation of a plurality of IA records for the one or more related filings based on the IA data for the current filing and the IA data for the one or more related filings. The method may further include creating a plurality of new IA records for the one or more related filings.

Abstract: An on-line invention disclosure system includes a user computer, a server and a database coupled to the server. The server provides user screens to the user to prompt the users to provide disclosure information to the server. The server receives the disclosure information from the users and stores the information in the database while allowing access to the database after storing the information on the database.

The method includes reading information such as the file name and metadata pertaining to a file. The file name has a predetermined format made up of fields. The fields in the file name and the metadata are extracted. Based upon the fields, the file is linked to intellectual asset record. The intellectual asset record includes a set of related data organized into meaningful units pertaining to an intellectual asset.

Abstract: A computer system and computer-implemented method for message or “chaser” management in a distributed legal workflow environment is provided. Embodiments provide central administration of legal workflow conducted by a plurality of distributed participants. A plurality of workflow chasers associated with a plurality of workflow records are created and defined based on a plurality of attributes (e.g. associated record identification, action identification, target user, display date, etc.). New and existing chasers are compared to one another to identify any redundancies (e.g. duplicate chasers, unnecessary chasers, etc.). Redundant chasers are deleted or otherwise de-activated. Remaining chasers are implemented within the distributed legal workflow environment, as appropriate (i.e. displayed to their target user on the associated target display date. Chasers may be created automatically as required for conformance to workflow policies, procedures or applicable laws.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a method, server, and computer-readable media for survey design for creation and management of intellectual asset records and workflow within an intellectual asset management system. A new intellectual asset survey template is created by providing survey components to an IAM system administrator via an IAM system user interface and enabling the IAM system administrator to organize the survey components on a preview area of the user interface. A runtime survey, based at least in part on the intellectual asset survey template, is displayed on the IAM system user interface. Intellectual asset record data units are affected by user answers and hidden questions in the survey, and workflow can be triggered through predetermined conditions associated with the user input into the survey. The runtime survey may also be displayed only to a predetermined set of IAM system users.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to time and expense entry management for intellectual asset records. An example embodiment includes a method of creating a time/expense entry for an intellectual asset record stored within an intellectual asset management system. The method includes detecting closure of a task associated with an intellectual asset record and comparing a task type of a time/expense template to the closed task. The method additionally includes determining a match of the task type to the task, and in response to determining the match, creating a time/expense entry for the intellectual asset record.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to museum docketing interfaces. An example embodiment includes a method of intellectual asset docketing. The method includes displaying a customizable docketing interface for a first intellectual asset record. The docketing interface includes multiple panels and each panel includes multiple related fields. The method additionally includes detecting user input into a first field of the docketing interface and closing at least one task for the first intellectual asset record based at least in part on the user input.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to related art citation management. One example embodiment includes a method of automating related art citation generation. The method includes reading a citation status of a related art reference for a patent document. The method further includes generating a related art reference list document. Additionally, in response to the citation status of the related art reference having a first citation status value, the method includes inserting into the related art reference list document a related art citation, the related art citation comprising metadata for the related art reference.
