This provides the users with greater control over the dissemination of their personal information. In addition, the system randomly selects peer-to-peer social networking clients that are online at any given time and enable such clients to randomly and automatically connect with one another.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing a web browser which operates to secure all Internet connections of the user using SSL and HTTPS protocols. One implementation is a browser that operates to send all browser navigation commands and send and receive all web traffic through SSL encryption tunnel. In other words, the browser turns all web pages that support only HTTP protocol into HTTPS-enabled web pages. As would be appreciate by those of skill in the art, the use of the SSL and HTTPS secures the user's connection and provides security for user's data. The system may be used to secure email communications, login information for websites, selection of shopping items and all other online activity of the user. All of the above information is encrypted by the inventive system using highly-secure SSL encryption.

The inventive web VPN system/service could be accessed by the users using only a conventional web browser without the need to install any specialized VPN client software on the user terminal, as it is the case with conventional VPN systems. User's terminal could be a user's desktop computer, notebook or a mobile device, such as a cell prone or a PDA, or any other computing platform what so ever, used by the user to access various network resources, such as web pages. One aspect is a web VPN service that encrypts, using, for example, SSL encryption, all web traffic going between the user's terminal and the Internet. System comprises a VPN server/proxy and an associated web server accessible by the user via a communication network, such as Internet.

Abstract: System protects user's data on social networking websites by creating a data filter, which operates between the user and the social networks accessed by the user. The filter may be deployed as a user's web browser plug-in and operates in the following way. First, the filter encrypts all or some information that is posted by the user on a social network using SSL encryption technology. Second, to enable select other users of the social networking site to view the encrypted information, the instances of the filter executing on the accessing users' computers verify whether these users have access permission from the owner of the content and, if so, use the decryption key to decrypt the private data and enable the users to view it. The decryption key may be automatically passed to the instances of the filter running on the accessing users' computers. In an alternative implementation, the encryption and access control may be performed by a security/privacy mediator deployed on the network.

Abstract: In one implementation, user's browser loads the web site document containing reference to an advertisement and one or more site elements; browser issues request for an advertisement to the ad server and starts positioning one or more site elements; ad server responds with a script, containing computer instructions; first set of instructions is executed after the browser determines which site elements should be positioned inside the browser window, first instructions shifting positions of at least some of such elements by a shift vector, thereby creating en empty space near the site content, and second set of instruction is executed to display advertisement inside that space.
