  • Publication number: 20120037484
Abstract: The present invention discloses a key device for a mobile phone, which comprises a printed circuit board (PCB), a key disposed on the PCB and a metal dome disposed above the key. The metal dome is able to make electrical contact with the key. The key comprises a first electrode, a second electrode and a third electrode, and the third electrode is formed as two rings in which the first electrode and the second electrode are disposed respectively. In the key device for a mobile phone provided by the present invention, the key is formed with three electrodes, so when the metal dome makes contact with the first electrode or the second electrode, the three electrodes of the key are electrically connected with each other simultaneously. This imparts the key for a mobile phone with the compatibility, thereby reducing the product cost and shortening the duration of research and development.

  • Publication number: 20120041758
Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing words in an input text of a speech with a continuous recording of the speech. A received input text includes previously recorded content of the speech to be reproduced. A synthetic speech corresponding to the received input text is generated. Ratio data including a ratio between the respective pronunciation times of words included in the received text in the generated synthetic speech is computed. The ratio data is used to determine an association between erroneously recognized words of the received text and a time to reproduce each erroneously recognized word. The association is outputted in a recording medium and/or displayed on a display device.

  • Patent number: 8112918
Abstract: In the present invention, a plurality of panel members are supportingly retained in a first holding plate, with each of the panel members being arcuately pivotable relative to the holding plate. In addition, a second, movable plate is cooperatively associated with the panel members for being longitudinally movable along the length of the panel members while securely retaining and being cooperatively associated with each panel member. In this way, the second, movable plate is quickly advanced from a first position in direct association or engagement with the first holding plate into a second position wherein the second, movable plate is extended away from the first holding plate substantially the full length of each panel member. When in this second position, each panel member is fixed in a locked and fully erect position.

  • Patent number: 8117034
Abstract: A speech recognition device (1) processes speech data (SD) of a dictation and thus establishes recognized text information (ETI) and link information (LI) of the dictation. In a synchronous playback mode of the speech recognition device (1), during the acoustic playback of the dictation a correction device (10) synchronously marks the word of the recognized text information (ETI) which word relates to the speech data (SD) just played back marked by the link information (LI) is marked synchronously, the just marked word featuring the position of an audio cursor (AC). When a user of the speech recognition device (1) recognizes an incorrect word, he positions a text cursor (TC) at the incorrect word and corrects it. Cursor synchronization means (15) now make it possible to synchronize the text cursor (TC) with the audio cursor (AC) or the audio cursor (AC) with the text cursor (TC) so that the positioning of the respective cursor (AC, TC) is simplified considerably.

  • Patent number: 8116761
Abstract: What is disclosed is a method of operating a wireless access control system. The method includes monitoring a first wireless access node to determine when the first wireless access node experiences wireless access congestion, where the first wireless access node broadcasts a first paging zone identifier for receipt by wireless communication devices receiving wireless access from the first wireless access node. The method also includes, in response to the wireless access congestion at the first wireless access node, instructing a second wireless access node which broadcasts a second paging zone identifier to toggle between broadcasting the first paging zone identifier and broadcasting the second paging zone identifier at a first duty cycle.

  • Patent number: 8117032
Abstract: A speech processing method including the step of identifying prerecorded audio comprising an original speech segment and a corresponding original noise segment. An audio stream can be generated from the prerecorded audio. The audio stream can comprise a stream speech segment and a stream noise segment. The stream speech segment can have approximately a same duration as the original speech segment. The stream noise segment can have a longer duration than the original noise segment. The audio stream can be conveyed to a speech recognition engine. The speech recognition engine can automatically determine an end of utterance condition based upon the stream noise segment. The original noise segment can be of insufficient duration for the speech recognition engine to determine the end of utterance condition. Responsive to the determining of the end of utterance condition, the stream speech segment can be speech recognized.

  • Patent number: 8116680
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for aiding shoppers. A shopper enters a product search query into a hand-held device and, via Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology, transfers the query to a terminal at a shopping establishment. The terminal forwards the search query to a search engine over a network and the search engine, after consulting a database, returns results meeting the criteria of the search query to the terminal for presentation on a display at the terminal. The shopper is then offered the option of transferring the results data, via NFC devices located in the hand-held device and the terminal, from the terminal to a memory in the hand-held device.
