Abstract: A measurement gap configuration method and a device are provided. The method includes: sending, by a secondary node, first indication information or second indication information to a master node; receiving, by the master node, the first indication information or the second indication information sent by the secondary node, wherein the first indication information is used to indicate that the secondary node needs to configure a terminal to perform an E-UTRAN inter-frequency measurement, or is used to request the master node to configure a measurement gap, the second indication information is used to indicate that the secondary node does not need to configure a terminal to perform an E-UTRAN inter-frequency measurement, or is used for not requesting the master node to configure a measurement gap.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a system includes resources in which to configure a base-band manager, a first virtual radio, a second virtual radio, and a third virtual radio. The first virtual radio is coupled to a first set of antenna elements of antenna hardware, which provide wireless connectivity to first communication devices in a first wireless coverage region. The second virtual radio is coupled to a second set of antenna elements of the antenna hardware, which provide wireless connectivity to second communication devices in a second wireless coverage region. The third radio communication hardware is coupled through a third set of antenna elements of the antenna hardware to a primary backhaul in communication with a remote network. The base-band manager couples the first virtual radio and the second communication resource to the third virtual radio, providing the first communication devices and the second communication devices access to a remote network.

Abstract: A dynamic controller to automatically generate layer 3 network connections between devices and/or networks associated with a virtual computing environment in response to a request for such connections is provided such that communications associated with the computing environment may be transmitted between the endpoints. For example, the dynamic controller may connect one or more cloud service provider networks, one or more customer-controlled data centers, one or more customer networks, and the like, based on information provided in a connection request. A layer 3 communication controller may also be instantiated within a core network that manages the flow of communications between the connected networks, such as by translating messages between the connected networks so that messages intended for a connected network may match the supported communication protocols of that network and/or providing one or more security features to the transmitted communications.

Abstract: Systems and methods relating to fragmenting content based on metadata are disclosed. In one embodiment, metadata is obtained from data that is accessible from an interface. A content descriptor, based on at least a portion of the metadata, may be utilized to determine fragment size. The content descriptor value may be derived from multiple forms of metadata, such as for example, genre, sub-genre, presence of live media, and combinations thereof. The fragments may be either virtual or physically discrete segments or files. In one aspect, the value may be the sole basis for determining the fragment lengths. In another aspect of the embodiment, the division of the content is conducted such that each resultant fragment comprises a single frame type.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a bearer configuration method for RRC connection reestablishment, a terminal, and a network device. The method in this disclosure includes: when receiving an RRC reestablishment complete message sent by a terminal, determining a Packet Data Convergence Protocol PDCP type supported by a target network to be accessed by the terminal, where the PDCP type includes type-1 PDCP supporting a first network or type-2 PDCP supporting a second network; and reconfiguring bearers in a subsequent RRC process based on the determined PDCP type.

Abstract: Provided is a control system that interfaces with an individual through tracking the eyes and/or tracking other physiological signals generated by an individual. The system, is configured to classify the captured eye images into gestures, that emulate a joystick-like control of the computer. These gestures permit the user to operate, for instance a computer or a system with menu items.

Abstract: A system may include a platform for an application to support processing flows for a service provider, such as ordering, sales, support, service delivery, and related process flows. The system may provide a limited set of application programming interfaces (APIs) that map to an application's user-experience page flows. The APIs may always appear to the application that the interaction process completed successfully—even if human intervention is required—to allow the application to complete the transaction. The system may have the ability to recognize the same user, and leverage that user's behavior across interactions with multiple sales channels. The system may thus provide, in one aspect, an enhanced user experience for ordering and maintaining complex service and equipment offerings.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting secure anonymous communications are described. A first communications device, e.g., a virtual desktop device, in a communications network, e.g., a private ISP network, serves on behalf of a first user device as an endpoint for a communications session with a second device. The first communications device includes a fabricated set of device attribute information which is different from an actual set of device attribute information corresponding to the first user device. The communications network includes a set of onion routers and onion routing is used within the network.

Abstract: A network device for an intercom network for duplex audio communication between users of the intercom network has a housing and a communication module in or at the housing and that can establish a radio link for transmitting audio signals to and receiving audio signals from another user. The radio link is subject to the DECT protocol or another protocol, and the audio signals to the communication module is broken by reflection into a plurality of radio paths. Multipath interference is prevented or reduced by electronic elements including at least one equalizer for processing a plurality of audio signals received along the plurality of radio paths and performing a signal correction.

Abstract: When a user attempts to execute a procedure for transfer or the like from an app, user authentication is first required by a PIN code or the like. When the user authentication is successful, function limitation of an IC chip is released and a mode in which a function provided by the IC chip can be used is set. The app encrypts a procedure message describing procedure content with a private key using the function of the IC chip and creates electronic signature. The electronic signature and the procedure message are transmitted to a server of an online service via an intermediate server. The server executes a procedure of transfer or the like in accordance with the content of the procedure message.

Abstract: A beam failure recovery method and a terminal are provided. The method is applied to a media access control (MAC) layer of the terminal, and includes: processing a random access procedure in accordance with a preset processing manner, when obtaining a new candidate beam during the random access procedure of transmitting a beam failure recovery request.

Abstract: Methods and systems for automated ad hoc customer premise equipment (CPE) bi-directional vulnerability scanning. A method includes an auto provisioning server receiving CPE information for a designated CPE to initiate a bi-directional vulnerability scan, obtaining telemetry data from a cable modem termination system (CMTS) based on the CPE information, configuring switches to form a virtual local area network channel between a LAN scanner and the designated CPE using the CPE information, provisioning the LAN scanner to obtain a LAN side Internet Protocol (IP) address from the designated CPE, initiating vulnerability scans at a wide area network (WAN) scanner and the LAN scanner using a stored WAN side IP address and a stored LAN side IP address, respectively, and generating a vulnerability scan report based on results from the WAN scanner and the LAN scanner. At least one network device can be configured based on the report.

Abstract: An outdoor satellite receiving unit (ODU) receives several independent satellite signals, selects two signals with a switch matrix, downconverts the two signals to a bandstacked signal with a high and a low band signal, and outputs the bandstacked signal on the same cable to receiver units. Several satellite signals can be selected in groups of two or more and output to independent receiver units. Signal selecting is performed at the received radio frequency (RF) and bandstacking is performed with a single downconversion step to an intermediate frequency (IF). Channel stacking on the same cable of more than two channels from several satellites can be achieved by using frequency agile downconverters and bandpass filters prior to combining at the IF output. A slow transitioning switch minimizes signal disturbances when switching and maintains input impedance at a constant value.
