The first antenna unit emits radio waves in a first polarization, the second antenna unit emits waves in a second polarization. The first polarization direction and the second polarization direction are perpendicular to each other.

Abstract: Features relating to communicating delay information and minimizing aggregate processing delays corresponding to content streams, e.g., audio and video streams, in a multi-media communication session while still achieving stream synchronization, are described. Some embodiments are well suited for systems where video and audio streams are transcoded by different entities. In some embodiments downstream entities, e.g., transcoder and/or receiving end device, are informed about the delay introduced to at least one stream by one or more upstream devices, e.g., a transcoder. The downstream entity synchronizes the received content streams by adding artificial latency as needed to the relevant one of the streams based on the received delay information thereby avoiding unnecessary introduction of artificial delays at every transcoding node in the path.

Abstract: A controller receives an encrypted media stream (“EMS”) and an identifier indicative of a selected content key from a headend. The EMS is encrypted with an encryption key and can be decrypted with a corresponding decryption key which is determinable from the selected content key. The controller receives indexes and content keys from the headend prior to receiving the EMS. Each index respectively corresponds to an identifier with one index corresponding to the identifier indicative of the selected content key. The content keys correspond to the indexes with one content key corresponding to the index corresponding to the identifier indicative of the selected content key. The controller selects the index corresponding to the identifier indicative of the selected content key upon receiving the EMS, determines the selected content key from the selected index, determines the decryption key from the selected content key, and decrypts the EMS with the decryption key.

Abstract: A wireless access node serves a wireless User Equipment (UE) over a Primary Component Carrier (PCC) and Secondary Component Carriers (SCCs). The wireless access node receives a report from the wireless UE indicating radio frequency bands and their received signal strengths. The wireless access node identifies the radio frequency bands that have adequate received signal strength. The wireless access node determines electrical down-tilt angles for the identified radio frequency bands. The wireless access node selects one of the identified radio frequency bands that has a smaller electrical down-tilt angle. The wireless access node exchanges user data and network signaling with the wireless UE over the selected frequency band to serve the PCC to the UE. The wireless access node transfers additional user data to the UE to serve the SCCs to the UE.
