Abstract: A novel and advantageous packaging system for card packaging system is provided. The card packaging system can hold a card and a promotional item and can display the serial number of the card while keeping the personal identification number for the card hidden. The card packaging system can be easily hung from a merchandise display. The card packaging system may include a card unit comprising a card, a hanger, and a stem, the stem being positioned between the card and the hanger, wherein the card may be separate from the hanger and the stem. The card packaging system may further comprise a case for receiving the card unit, the case including a slot for receiving the stem such that the card is positioned in the case and the hanger extends outwardly from the case.

Abstract: In a general aspect, a silicon carbide (SiC) field-effect transistor (FET) can include a substrate of a first conductivity type, a drift region of the first conductivity type disposed on the substrate, a spreading layer of the first conductivity type disposed in the drift region, a body region of a second conductivity type disposed in the spreading layer, and a source region of the first conductivity type disposed in the body region. The SiC FET can further include a spacer layer of the first conductivity type disposed on the source region the body region and the spreading layer, and a lateral channel region of the first conductivity type disposed in the spacer layer. The SiC FET can also include a gate structure that includes an aluminum nitride layer disposed on the lateral channel region, and an aluminum gallium nitride layer of the second conductivity disposed on the AlN layer.

Abstract: Examples for enabling off-network transactions to be performed and securely managed are provided. An example system may include a data network, a digital ledger server, a blockchain platform, smart payment devices, and point of sale devices. Each respective point of sale device and each respective smart device may be operable to perform an off-network transaction, and store information related to the transaction in a digital ledger coupled to each respective device. When a transaction is executed between a POS device and a smart payment device, the POS device and smart payment device exchange a record of all off-network transactions that each respective device has executed since the last time a connection was made to the data network. When a network connection is established for each device, the respective information stored in the digital ledger is uploaded to the blockchain platform for storage and the digital ledger server for transaction resolution.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for providing a failover system and method for one or more collaboration conference web adapters. In general, the system and method allow for the movement of traffic or other communication packets associated with a collaboration conference from one adapter located in a first data center to another adapter located in a second data center. In one embodiment, the failover may occur in response to the detection or determination of a failure or loss of an operational state at an adapter of the system. In another embodiment, the failover may occur in response to a selection from an operations center to move the traffic to the selected adapter or second data center.

The positive power supply terminal can be disposed between the first and second negative power supply terminals. The device can also include a conductive clip electrically coupling the first negative power supply terminal with the second negative power supply terminal via a conductive bridge. A portion of the conductive bridge can be arranged in a second plane that is parallel to, and non-coplanar with the first plane.

The brake threat number of the host vehicle is based on a predicted lateral distance between the host vehicle and the target vehicle. The brake threat number of the target vehicle is based on a velocity of the target vehicle adjusted by an acceleration of the target vehicle and an actuation time of a brake. The steering threat number is a lateral acceleration being a predicted lateral distance adjusted by an actuation time of a steering component. The acceleration threat number is based on a predicted lateral offset adjusted by a predicted heading angle of the host vehicle.

An inwardly offset portion of the sidewall is disposed between each pair of adjacent recessed columns. The inwardly offset portions of the sidewall are configured to resist outward bowing of the sidewall due to internal pressure of contents within the container.

A thermal conditioning system includes a cooling system configured to circulate a coolant to cool the RESS. A controller computes a generated heat amount of the RESS; computes a target temperature of the coolant based on the generated heat amount; and operates actuators of the thermal conditioning system to cool the coolant to the target temperature.

Abstract: A method for collecting and mapping eye movement data to vehicle data includes providing a vehicle having a plurality of sensors configured to capture vehicle characteristic data, an eye-movement tracking system configured to capture eye movement data, a wireless communication system, and a controller in communication with the plurality of sensors, the eye movement tracking system, and the wireless communication system, receiving the eye movement data and the vehicle characteristic data, analyzing the eye movement data and the vehicle characteristic data to temporally correlate the eye movement data and the vehicle characteristic data and generate a matched dataset, determining a predicted vehicle maneuver from the matched dataset, and transmitting the predicted vehicle maneuver to a nearby vehicle using V2X communication.

Abstract: A method of producing fluid from a wellbore includes operating a pump located proximate to a zone of fluid influx in the wellbore to draw a fluid from a reservoir into the wellbore at the zone of fluid influx. A first section of a tubing string is coupled to, and extends above, the pump, and a second section of the tubing string is coupled to, and extends below, the pump. A packer seals a first annular space around the first section of the tubing string. The method further includes operating the pump to move the fluid from the second section of the tubing string and into the first section of the tubing string.

Abstract: Radio communications systems use 100 to 200 satellites in random low-earth orbits distributed over a predetermined range of north and south latitudes. The satellites themselves create a radio route between ground stations via radio links between multiple satellites by virtue of onboard global navigation satellite system circuitry for determining the location of the satellite and route creation circuitry for calculating in real time the direction from the satellite's location at a particular instant to a destination ground station. Directional antennas in the satellites transmit routing radio signals to enhance the probability of reception by other satellites. One embodiment facilitates the creation of satellite-to-satellite links by assigning each satellite a unique identifier, storing orbital information defining the locations of all of the orbiting satellites in the system at any particular time, and including in the radio signal the unique identifier associated with the transmitting satellite.
