  • Patent number: 10733984
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present technical solution enable a multi-modal interface for voice-based devices, such as digital assistants. The solution can enable a user to interact with video and other content through a touch interface and through voice commands. In addition to inputs such as stop and play, the present solution can also automatically generate annotations for displayed video files. From the annotations, the solution can identify one or more break points that are associated with different scenes, video portions, or how-to steps in the video. The digital assistant can receive input audio signal and parse the input audio signal to identify semantic entities within the input audio signal. The digital assistant can map the identified semantic entities to the annotations to select a portion of the video that corresponds to the users request in the input audio signal.

  • Patent number: 10735961
Abstract: Methods and systems for multimedia messaging service (MMS) authentication over IP networks are disclosed. An access identifier records message corresponding to a user by a multimedia messaging service center (MMSC) forwarded by a server is received. Data from the access identifier records message including a mobile directory number, a framed IP address, access network information and a session ID is extracted and stored in a cache accessible to the MMSC. Network IP authentication is executed to determine that the user has a valid IP address. Client IP authentication of the user is executed to determine that the valid IP address is stored in the cache. A correspondence between the valid IP address and a mobile directory number of the user is determined. The user is authenticated for MMS over the IP network based on the correspondence.

  • Patent number: 10733445
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer-readable storage devices, for enhanced object discrimination by robots are described. In some implementations, a robot obtains image data from a camera of the robot, where the image data indicates a detected object. The robot classifies the object as having a particular object type based on the image data. The robot evaluates a current state of the object that includes a predetermined set of object state characteristics. The robot determines that a software application of the robot has indicated (i) an object type and (ii) one or more object state criteria that satisfy the current state of the detected object. The robot provides to the software application data indicating detection of the object and a position of the object.

  • Patent number: 10735291
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing firewall functionalities, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing high availability (“HA”) web application firewall (“WAF”) functionalities. In various embodiments, a first computing system might monitor network communications between a client and a server providing access to software applications, and might determine whether latency has been introduced as a result of at least one first WAF container having been launched and whether any introduced latency exceeds a predetermined threshold, each first WAF container being tuned to a corresponding software application and protecting the software application from network attacks. Based on a determination that latency has been introduced and based on a determination that the introduced latency exceeds the predetermined threshold, one or more second WAF containers may be launched, each being tuned to the corresponding software application.

  • Patent number: 10732632
Abstract: In one embodiment, when an ADV is driving on a trajectory generated based on a reference line, a separate processing thread is executed to precalculate a new reference line as a future reference line for a future planning cycle in parallel. The future reference line is being created while the ADV is moving along a trajectory generated based on the original reference line and before reaching a location corresponding to the starting point of the future reference line. The future reference line is overlapped with an end section of the original reference line, such that the future reference line can be connected to the end section of the original reference line. The future reference line serves an extension of the original reference line before the ADV reaches the end section of the original reference line.

  • Patent number: 10733587
Abstract: A user signs into an application via a user computing device at a merchant system location. The user computing device receives an identifier from a beacon device at the location to transmit to an account management system. The account management system transmits facial templates to the merchant camera device for users who are signed in to the application in range of the merchant beacon device. The user approaches a point of sale device to purchase a restricted product or service. The merchant camera device compares a captured facial image against the received facial templates to identify the user. A merchant POS device operator, after determining that the user is eligible for the restricted product or service based on account information of the user, selects a payment account of the user. The merchant POS device transmits transaction details to the account management system, which processes the transaction with an issuer system.

  • Patent number: 10731339
Abstract: A modular, reusable temporary enclosure system is particularly suited for the renovation of buildings having stacked concrete floors supported by steel and/or concrete columns. The system consists of a set of track components, one fastened to the floor, and one fastened to the ceiling. Columns assembled from rigid panels are supported and aligned between these components. The panel edges are connected to one another by an interfacing spline assembly. To ensure that the components can be brought up to the construction site by elevator, individual panels are shorter than the full distance between the floors.

  • Patent number: 10735379
Abstract: Embodiments relate to detecting and mitigating network intrusions. Packets are inspected at their source/destination hosts to identify packet trends local to the hosts. The local packet trends are combined to identify network-wide packet trends. The network-wide packet trends are used to detect anomalies or attacks, which in turn informs mitigation actions. The local inspection may be performed by reconfigurable/reprogrammable “smart” network interfaces (NICs) at each of the hosts. Local inspection involves identifying potentially suspect packet features based on statistical prevalence of recurring commonalities among the packets; pre-defined threat patterns are not required. For network-wide coherence, each host/NIC uses the same packet-identifying and occurrence-measuring algorithms. An overlay or control server collects and combines the local occurrence-measures to derive the network-wide occurrence-measures.

  • Patent number: 10735979
Abstract: A self-organizing backhaul radio (SOBR) and related arrangements are disclosed. A “primary” link between an first SOBR enabled radio and a second SOBR radio includes a secondary transmission link, referred to as a signature control channel (SCC), as a spread spectrum modulated signal embedded within and transmitted simultaneously with the primary link. The SCC transmissions from the first SOBR radio may be utilized by other SOBR enabled radios to determine an interference level to or from the first SOBR radio's primary link. The SCC transmission may be utilized to allow transmit beam forming between SOBR-enabled radios without damaging other friendly SOBR radios within the propagation distance of the transmitted signals based upon the detection of the SCC transmissions.
