Abstract: A system provides dynamically controlled participation allocations for communication sessions. A system can create a queue for participants of a communication session, such as an online meeting. The queue can be generated for a communication session having an intended format that allows participants to individually speak in succession, such as a Question and Answer (Q&A) session. The system manages a user interface (UI) of the communication session displaying a timer that changes dynamically for each participant indicating a total time for his or her questions or comments based on an amount of time left for the meeting to end. The system displays, augments, and associates a timer for each participant indicating a total time for his or her questions or comments, which is based on an amount of time left for the meeting to end, number of users providing a “hand raise” input, and history of participation for each participant.

Abstract: The present solution preserves an amount of charge sufficient to reach a nearest or most convenient charger in a battery of a vehicle during a prolonged vehicle disuse. The solution can include a data processing system that can identify an inactive state of a battery and determine that the vehicle should enter an energy reservation mode. The data processing system can identify a vehicle charger and determine, based on a location of the vehicle and the charger, an amount of energy needed for the vehicle to reach the charging unit. The data processing system can determine a power reservation threshold for the first battery and modify, based on the power reservation threshold, a level of energy provided by the first battery to the second battery to maintain at least the first amount of amount of energy in the first battery.

Abstract: A driver circuit may include a source, a first circuit path, and a second circuit path. The a first circuit path may be connected to the source and include a first anode pad, a first set of connecting elements to connect the first anode pad to an anode of an optical load, a second anode pad that is separate from the first anode pad, a second set of connecting elements to connect the anode of the optical load to the second anode pad, and a switch. The switch being in a closed state causes current to charge the first set of connecting elements and the second set of connecting elements through the first circuit path. The switch transitioning from the closed state to the open state causes the first set of connecting elements to discharge current through the second circuit path to provide an electrical pulse to the optical load.
Abstract: One example method includes optimizing client-side deduplication. When backing up a client, a cadence and a change log resolution are determined. These values are evaluated alone or in combination with respect to various thresholds. Client-side deduplication is enabled or disabled based on whether any one or more of the thresholds are satisfied.

Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) technology can be used in combination with composable communication goal statements to facilitate a user's ability to quickly structure story outlines using “explanation” communication goals in a manner usable by an NLG narrative generation system without any need for the user to directly author computer code. This AI technology permits NLG systems to determine the appropriate content for inclusion in a narrative story about a data set in a manner that will satisfy a desired explanation communication goal such that the narratives will express various ideas that are deemed relevant to a given explanation communication goal.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for trash collection management. In an example embodiment, a dumpster monitoring apparatus may determine that an amount of garbage in a dumpster exceeds a threshold level (such as, for example, above a full-level marked on the dumpster). If the garbage exceeds the threshold level, the dumpster monitoring apparatus automatically transmits a request to a dumpster management apparatus to dispatch a garbage truck. In an example scenario, the dumpster monitoring apparatus may further determine that a current location of the dumpster is stationed is inaccessible to the garbage truck. Consequently, the dumpster monitoring apparatus may automatically transmit a request to a robot vehicle (such as robotic forklift) to move the dumpster from the current location to a new location that is accessible to the garbage truck. The dumpster monitoring apparatus may then inform the dumpster management apparatus of the new location.
